How’s the reliability on the stage 2? Looking to get protuned now.

Why dont you pay a few more 100 dollars and get it dyno tuned to insure safety of the engine?

Stage 1 plus tune it. I change the air filter and give it a fuze it will have enough boost. That aps intake sounds weird.

Is it okay to run ots 1+ long term?
@Snake-pw2wm3 жыл бұрын
Lots of people run COBB’s tunes for a few years with no problems, very rare cases of them killing the motors, and most people would claim that they’re more reliable than the terrible OEM tune. A lot of people recommend doing an e-tune or protune eventually though, because it will be more reliable and give you a bit more power. I recommend using the COBB tunes until you have stage 2+, and then saving up any additional engine mods to put on all at once and get a protune. That way you only have to have it tuned once.

I don’t know what I should get for my first car, 06 sti or 2019 wrx.🤔 I feel like with the sti I’m saving money for better performance than a wrx. Any suggestions/help?
@JustinShinoda5 жыл бұрын
Just know how old that car is going to be. I always put in perspective, when buying a used car, the amount you paid for the car, half the car price is how much it is going to be to fix it. But if it checks out then get the 06, but bring it to your local shop to get it checked up before purchasing. But also a new car is new and you won't have any issues ever

how many miles do you have? ive been wanting to do this since i bought my 2018 wrx late 2017. im not sold on a cold air kit these cars though. its sounds really cool, but for the money that would cover the cost of another part. thanks for the videos.

I went with an AEM intake now, but that is only because of the California CARB laws, but the Cobb intake otherwise is so nice

Did this get rid of the boost psi being all over the place. I noticed when in boost it will be 16 10 5 10 with throttle at a steady 20%.
@JustinShinoda6 жыл бұрын
you hit 16psi at a steady 20% or even it fluctuating that much doesn't seem right at all. Bring it to subaru.

Blowing up the engine is my worst fear. At least you’ll have warranty if it does :/

Not anymore... intake ap + ots will void it right
@jameskocks47346 жыл бұрын
@@ZedLucas not necessarily. subaru has to prove it. but its risky if your worried about the warranty in these cars. im going to be about 16-18k on my 2018 and i think is wise to wait and see if any problems occur then mod smart and smart maintaining. with that said ive been itching since late 2017 to do it and i think its time. hope this helps.
