The best car I ever owned was a Suzuki Swift Sport. Unfortunately, when I had a kid it was no longer large enough so I had to change cars. I still miss it and wish I had one to this day- the new one looks absolutely awesome.

I had a white 1987 Swift GTI and absolutely loved the car. Quick, sure footed, uncomplicated and just plain fun. Do I miss it? Absolutely :)

I have the 2001 model, GLS it's the only car I've ever owned. I used to drift it round fields when I bought it for £300 off Gumtree and I didn't expect it to still be running to this day (5 years later). It's had barley anything replaced and I love the old girl. She'll keep going until it ceases to go no more which will never happen.

Like your review guys. Though the tyres on the Swift Sport are 195-45-17 not 195-50-17 as you stated. You can even read it of the tyre shown in the video if you pause. Great car though and I just bought one 12 days ago...love it...

Just for completion: original suzuki winter tires come with Toyo SnowProx S954 in 185-45-16 on black-polished alloy rims.

Had 2 GTi's in the early 2000's, a 92 GTi custom turbo and a '94 GTi, probably the best cara I've owner, sadly, had to sell them. Then later in late 2000's, found myself a '92 Cultus Convertible (aka Swift convertible) it didnt take long to replace all the running gear to GTi spec, as everything just bolted straight on, these where CVT auto, but changed it over to manaul. Power Steering with Air Con, what more could I want? Then the power bug got me and eventually turboed it, what a fun little car. Sold that, and have been wanting another Swift for ages, my brother had a 2010 Swift, great car, and with the Booster Jet engine, I think it's time for me to get another Swift, I would love the Sports.

I had a series 1 (2018) manual and recently traded it for a new series 2 auto. Both gearboxes are excellent, neither is a bad choice, and it just depends what your priorities are. The manual is more engaging, and more fun on the right road, but the auto is easier to live with if the car is your daily driver. It's also faster off the line and slightly quieter on the motorway due to the 5th and 6th gear ratios and final drive being more favorable for cruising. Fuel economy is about the same in both but you can get a little more frugality from the manual if you try really hard at it e.g. by engine braking whenever possible and religiously shifting up as soon as your pass 2000rpm, so the engine doesn't build too much boost amd thus start to suck more fuel. It's not a fun way to drive though and you don't save much so you may as well just drive it as it was meant to be driven. Better off with the new swift hybrid if you want to drive like a granny.

Yes the auto actually is faster 0-100kph and over quater mile, as tested by Performancedrive.com.au.

Think it would look nicer with a better rear diffuser.. A bit more of an over hanging lip round the grill and LED running lights like my gen swift in place of those fogs Oh and a 3dr version would be icing on the cake 👌
