Uli is natural at commentary. You could definitely use him again in the future. Great coverage again, thx!

I like Bradley's tip about walking the course. I'd love to see a little more of that from our commenters. We have videos about how to throw shots well, but strategy and tournament play advice like that is golden.

I much prefer to watch courses like this, as opposed to the wide open, everything is is 1200 feet , crush a driver courses. Idlewild is the best mix of the two, IMHO. I like to watch pros show off all of their skill set.

This is a course I would not want to play. I like courses that favor skill over luck on all the holes. The local guys were doing great. Some bad breaks for Girouard but it's obvious the guy can play.

I'm a really big fan of the Cactusbarri commentary. Hopefully you they are available for round 3 too :)
@JamesCordes6 жыл бұрын
Earlier in his career he let his temper get the best of him and got a reputation for being a bit of a prick. He's been suspended by the PDGA twice, I think. That led to people giving him the nickname, "The Texas Cactus." I've been watching the Pro scene for 7-8 years now and I'll grant that Bradley had some issues back in the day, but I think he's mellowed out considerably in the last 2-3 years. I'm of the opinion that his most recent suspension was unwarranted.

Great coverage. Not a fan of this course. Some of these holes don't have any lines.

A well designed woods golf course will have a "fair" line for birdie on every hole.

ok, what's the story of phrase "pat bending/patent bending" ? jeremy forgot to tell us.
@eoghana3156 жыл бұрын
Ken Climo and another pro, I think Barry Schultz but I might be wrong, both popularized this shot simultaneously. It became a running joke on who came up with it first so they called it the "patent pending."

I guess I'm the only one not a fan of Brad's commentary. Seemed to complain about too many of the holes. Sorry you guys have to play some technical wooded courses.
@bradleydiscgolf6 жыл бұрын
Eric Londono Some of these holes are decent. However many of the holes are luck driven. If a card full of pros throw a drive and have no idea If they are going to miss the trees living in the "fairway"...
@patricklachance59526 жыл бұрын
There is a difference between technical wooded holes, and luck holes. A wooded hole has a doable line to the green/landing zone that rewards the player if executed properly, and punishes them for missing the shot. A luck course has no consistent line to the green, and requires the player to make the first gap or two, and then hope they get through further gaps because there is no way for them to have that fine control over flight, especcially given variable wind conditions. It seems like to me this course had a few too many holes that fell on the luck side of that delineation.
@jessewilliams436 жыл бұрын
Awesome commentary, filming & ace! Terrible course design. The occasional, defined, technical line that pays off well is one thing, luck is another!

Trevor Aldrich I truly can't understand why he still does it. Especially since everyone complains so much about all his foot faults. It's completely pointless.
@craigcampbell18436 жыл бұрын
Trevor Aldrich last tournament I watched him in he did it maybe 4-5 times. Half were obvious foot faults. None went in. Every once in a while he gets lucky but it's bad form. He'd have more control with his feet on the ground. And less criticism
