You don't have to remove the top bolt from the caliper,only remove the lower one and it will just pull up...10 min tops
@mechanicallyinclined2715
@mechanicallyinclined2715 Жыл бұрын
You should remove the top bolt, too. These bolts have to be greased... if you don't grease them, they will eventually get jammed, and you will have to replace the bolts after fighting them for whole day ... all that time you saved will be for nothing ...

For the final tightening of the bolts, you need a torque wrench to tighten the bolts according to specs.
@imbogfootstrato

not bad. but you should always get the rotors resurfaced by orielys, a resurfacing shop or buy new rotors. those brake pads are not gonna seat in properly. which in return they dont last as long and warping occurs quicker. plus you dont stop as good. its just more money down the drain and should be done right the first time

Are the rotors damaged? The back I assume...?
@TheDarinw40
@TheDarinw40 Ай бұрын
I have a second set of rotors I take them into the machine shop get them resurfaced just before I do a brake job and I swap them out putting fresh rotors on every time... The other ones will sit on the shelf until it's time to do another brake job lol

This is 60% an excellent video and 40% is a disaster and the disaster is that guys to eliminate vibration or any complication is your brake system go to the nearest parts shop and take out the rotor and ask them if they could resurface it for you the price tag goes between 10 to 40 bucksgive that money get your rotor as a brand new put it back in again and install the brake pads and push back your piston and everything

Ok well before u do anything disengage the brake system guys. Get in the car the parking brake in middle console u have to click up 3 times then down 3 times on the 3rd time clicking down hold it till the parking light blinks slowly on the dash and then do your brakes then when done do this again to reengage brakes
