I'd really love to see you to reviewing the new Jeep Wrangler, which I think is a very popular truck down there. The Toyota Hilux seems to a nice truck and very expensive, but nothing like a Jeep, LOL. Sorry I'm a Jeep enthusiast!

Nice ute, let down by the fact that Toyota still turns off all traction control when in 4wd low. Still, very capable. The Ranger tops it on power and slightly gets in front off-road, due to braked traction control staying on in low.

As much as I love Jenny she seems to be featured far to much lately and I wonder if cartell.tv is just pandering to the comments calling for more Jenny all the time. You look very sexy even with such pleasantly presented clothing options. One thing I will say is having these trucks consistently sell top of all cars every month is absolutely tragic. We need to go back to normal size cars where it's not a pain in the ass to see past a parked car or when you are behind these monstrosities. More Simone haha. I think Toyota should start selling the HiLux in the United States. I really like this HiLux Rugged X version. I am not huge on Toyotas but man, if Toyota offered this truck in the United States, I would get this truck. By now, the Toyota Tacoma is pretty outdated by the competition on the market in the United States. Here's to hoping Toyota will consider bringing the HiLux to the United States. Such a great looking truck and I really enjoyed learning about the HiLux Rugged X model, since we don't get the HiLux in the United States. Keep on coming out with the great videos CarTell.tv.

I guess what I meant to say was in the mid-size truck range. The Ford F-150 Raptor is considered a full-sized truck. I should have been more detailed in my comment. You are right capespring, no other full-size pickup truck beats the Ford F-150 Raptor now. We will have to see what the Ram Rebel TRX will be like when it comes out in a couple years.

Matt Gamcsik Well the HiLux isnt gonna be sold in the states probaly due to USA has mostly petrol trucks and the HiLux has only diesel. Its probaly the same with the Land Cruiser Prado

theres no market for it in the US it was sold briefly in the 80s but didnt do well so its sold as the 4runner in the US which doesnt come with open deck only suv

With the 2.8 seeming to have some DPF issues I have read which makes me think they should have kept the petrol option open for buyers. Not every worker , tradesman gets on the highway for an 1hr a fortnight and drives at 80km/ hr to stop DPF issues. I had the petrol sr5 and loved it. To many people having issues with DPF which concerns me given I heard one customer was charged $7000 to replace it just after km warranty ran out. I asked Toyota salesman and they say they don't know anything about it even though the service centre is just next door.....funny that. You just have to do Toyota 2.8 DPF search to see what I am talking about, I dont think Toyota not sorting this out if true is doing their loyal customers any favours and could wreck the brand reputation very easily like what happen to VW. Before you add bling just make it reliable!!!!

Us Hilux owners don't take it too seriously. BTW its more than 'some' DPF issues, it's pretty close to guaranteed that your ute is going to go down, only a matter of time. Mine hasn't yet at 36k but it will.... who cares man, all new cars have their issues, we just get them to fix under warranty, soon enough they'll come up with a permanent fix.

Yuk , underpowered overpriced get your shit soughted toyota I've had Toyota 4wheel drives for the last 15 years I switched to Ford the ranger is twice the package of the hilux , put as many bling bits as you like on it it's still way underpowered overpriced and not in my eyes a tough as nuts hilux ..
