I was a professional craftsman for a couple decades, and am a Cinematographer these days. Went and got a 18 WRX and did basically most of what you have, maybe a bit more in terms of engine mods, as my dyno numbers are higher. I approached brake mods and wheels a bit differently, as I wanted unsprung weight to be as low as possible, and the cost of the big brake kits was more than I was comfortable with. Your work and attention to detail in both build and video production are fantastic. Pretty high bar that you set. Thank you for sharing it!

My '06 WRX got totaled last month due to another driver's incompetence. I loved that car. I ended up buying a '19. It's been hard liking it, simply because my Hawk was my dream car since it first came out. It was completely "race car'ed" because of all the modifications. I stumbled across your page and love what you've done to your car and it's making me love the platform more and giving me ideas. Thanks brother.

Honestly your car is the biggest inspiration for me to keep wanting to modify my car. I’ve had to keep it stock for a year now while saving up for, and recently buying, a house. So I’ve fallen out of love with it, but every time I see what you’ve done with that car reminds me why I wanted a WRX in the first place. It’s very simple and understated while still being different from every WRX you see on Instagram and Facebook, and it’s exactly what I strive for my build to be like.
@TheShaddix5 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Don't worry, it won't look simple for too long. I am just getting started. You should just go for drives and reconnect with your car. It sounds like you're either only using it as a daily, or not using it much at all. I use mine on weekends only, so each time it's a special occasion for me, but I'll admit it's because of all the modifications, not the car itself.
@myfriendlitemeonfire5 жыл бұрын
TheShaddix Yea it’s my daily, the problem being I think is that in stock form it’s just a very boring commuter car. WRXs in stock form just aren’t that exciting. It’s when you modify them that they become exciting.
@TheShaddix5 жыл бұрын
@@myfriendlitemeonfire it is indeed a boring car unless you have an intake, exhaust, etc. for the sound, and visual mods like wheels, suspension, lip, etc. so you admire it once you get in/out. If you don't have those, it's no different than driving a corolla with a manual gearbox. I got this car already knowing this and did not expect much. My plan was always to mod the crap out of it, same way I've done with my 350z when I had it (also not as fun in stock form). If you want my advice, email or DM me and I will tell you best mods to get to turn the car around and make it exciting, unless you are trying not to spend money due to the house bills (which I totally get as I am in the same boat).
