We are pleased to announce the completion of a promotional video for the new SUBARU WRX STI. The WRX STI is symbolic of Subaru’s driving experience, a performance car that can fully prove its capability even in extreme circuit conditions. We depicted its elite drivability in such extreme conditions with a feeling of tension, delivering contents that are sure to please.

Although the driver in this video didn't use the racing line around the Streets of Willow circuit, the drift angles were rather dramatic, especially for an AWD car. It's nice to see that the WRX STi hasn't lost its charm after all of these years.

@@reapertalon exterior may look bad (although me and my grandpa brain really like it) many reviews said it's really good and consistent. You gotta admit its a better option than any other subaru st the moment, all CVTs with Ebrake button and 115hp and shit like that. I see this car as the last light of hope in subaru, but maybe that's because i am happy with what i can have

@@ld1728 I'm feel the need to correct myself. That poem was purely for laughs and I don't believe the new WRX is bad. I think it's a pretty good subaru sedan but, the problem is, it doesn't stack up that well to the competition. I mean, the Golf R exists, and now the Corolla GR has just exploded onto the scene.

Hi, When is this coming to Mexico? Not even Subaru Mexico central office knows (I mean wtf the office for the region doesn't know?) I am very upset the year is almost gone and we haven't heard any news of it while it's been available since June in the US. They're now having the Frankfurt auto show in Europe and are also showing the WRX/STI 2018 model and expect to have to released some countries next month even Spain gets it in November at the latest they said. In the meantime we hear nothing about it. The agency here is trying to sell me a 2017 model, but the changes on the 2018 make it worthwhile so I rather just wait or get a different car altogether if it doesn't come. I'm that annoyed with this situation to be honest. Can we AT LEAST hear something in Mexico about this model?!

I have owned Subaru's my whole life and i'm the Proud owner of a Slammed 2004 Silver Forester XTurbo.. I still don't understand why People Buy Other Brands of Car's.. It could be this Reason: They are "Completely STUPID". Subaru's are the Safest and the BEST Car's in the World.

Hello Subaruglobal! Instead of spending money on an STI in-circuit announcement, it is better to invest that money in something else, like upgrading or forging EJ25 weak engines. Investing money in improving the factory's weak pistons of the Ej25, my STI 2016 piston broke at 23,000km, EJ25 factory pistons are weak and defective oil pump and crank bushes. You have to improve the hardness of the car, then it's how people think the Evo is better.

And yet, Mitsubishi hasn't made an Evolution since 2015. The 4B11 failed more often than the EJ257, and unlike Subaru, Mitsubishi never really fixed that. That's why there was a "Final Edition" Evolution - with no plans to bring it back (except maybe as an SUV...really, they said that), and the WRX STI carries on the lineage started by the Legacy RS-RA.

No, it was stock, and with warranty .... The pistons of the 2.5cc cracks between the segments, poor quality of material. I've set up forged manley pistons, and the problem disappears. It's just the defect of the weak pistons, the rest of the car is good.

valen599 they're called ringlands. The sti is not too "hard" for a reason. The evo was never as popular as the sti. They're basically as fast as one another, but the sti was better to live with. The ej motors are fine. My 2013 ej255 has 65k miles on it. Tuned and hammered for years, yet it consumes less than 100ml oil per 3,500 miles. Would the ej benefit from forged pistons? At a higher than stock power level yes, but at stock you'll see the same level of random failures (or nearly the same level) that will end up costing more money to upgrade thousands of engines unnecessarily. All the ej motor needs is a slightly larger oil pump, forged pistons, 1mm larger valves, and cams to breathe at 8,000 rpm. With a properly sized turbo, those engines will handle 500whp / 400 ft lbs all day. Add direct injection and you'll have a far better engine than the FA20dit. The FA20dit has poorly designed main bearings. Element tuning has a wonderful write up regarding this, and they show it is a huge problem when pushing these engine hard for long.
