2019-2021 Chevy Silverado Rubbing Issue Fixed!

If you own a 2022-2024 Chevy Silverado Trail Boss you received a Free Secret Upgrade with your purchase. If you have a 2019-2021 Chevy Trail Boss, you might want to check to make sure your Sway Bar is not hitting your CV Axle. If you have a Lift Kit or thinking about lifting your truck, you will definitely want to check for this. I have the Ready Lift SST 2.0 with 285/75/18 Nitto Recon Grapplers and this Front Stabilizer Shaft Link was causing my Sway Bar to come in contact with my CV Axle. After my research, I found that Chevy does not sell the factory linkage bracket anymore that came on the 2019-2021 Chevy Trail Boss. If you go to buy this part, the length is completely different. Here is the part number for the Front Stabilizer Shaft Links if you are having this issue. GM Part # 85590925

The longer sway bars puts the sway bar in correct angle's. Guess GM realized when you lift a truck thats one part you change.

lol, especially if you put a lift/level kit on it, you will have this problem.

Thanks, I honestly can't remember. I miss the days of being able to go get a repair book at the auto parts store. Now you have to search all over the internet for everything and it may or not be correct.

My 2020 Trail Boss isn’t lifted but it makes an intermittent rubbing noise while taking left hand turns. I wonder if this is the issue…

I recommend taking a gopro while driving to see if you are having the same issue. Or it could discover something else.

I couldn't find any videos about the 'popping' noise that you described. Can you tell me how to find those videos? I have been hearing this noise and no one has figured out what it is.

This is honestly the only video that I am aware of, cause i couldn't find any either, so I decided to make one. I have a lift on my truck that contributes to the sway bar linkage touching, but Chevy did modify the part to where it is longer on the new trucks.

Hey I had seen your review video on the sst 2 inch level kit and I also have the same problem with the popping noise. Did this fix your problem?

This sway bar linkage was definitely rubbing against the cv axle, but unfortunately did not fix my popping issue. I have discovered that during the colder months the popping went away. Now that the temps are starting to rise the popping is starting to come back which is really weird. Has this been the same with you? I can't figure it out and no one I take it to can figure it out. I just kinda gave up on it.

Mine just recently started to do it I’ve been also trying to figure out what it is. I wanted to fix the problem before I put 2 inch spacers. But it might be something we just have to deal with lol

lol Yea, its frustrating not being able to figure it out. I even reached out to ReadyLift. They thought it might be the upper ball joint, so they sent me out a new one, but that didn't fix it. Let me know if you ever get to the bottom of it. If I ever figure it out, I will do a video on it cause I am sure a lot of other people have experienced this.

i have the same popping noise and notice it goes away after an alignment for a couple of month and comes back. I paid for the lifetime alignment with firestone and when it starts popping i take it in for alignment

I just ordered them from GM parts direct. I had to use the VIN from my 2023 Silverado in order to order them for my 2020 Sierra. It kept kicking back the order with my 2020 VIN… kinda makes ya wonder sometimes.

I can’t imagine they used different linkage brackets per truck trim for that year, but you might not have the issue since the trail boss does have the factory 2in lift. If you don’t see it rubbing then I wouldn’t worry about replacing it.
