First let me say your video is very detailed to the point. I picked up the gm fog light kit, however the connector pin that goes into the c-3 bent while trying to connect to the green connector box from the single brown wire on my 2020 Silverado. I tried to straighten out but it snapped. Where can I get the correct replacement connector? The automotive stores doesn't seem to carry these. Thanks

My trouble/complaint is, I bought the GM kit. It didn’t come with directions. I checked out a couple of KZbin vids that didn’t help because they do not show wiring locations for the brown connector under the drivers side to connect the brown wire connector. That’s where I am stuck at.

What is a authorization code?

Its a code that the dealer will need to get the update information for your BCM.

The truck will need to be taken into service so a technician can properly update the BCM.

Unfortunately the 2500 models are showing to be different from the 1500 models. The housings look the same but we think that the wiring might be different.

Does the kit without task lighting require an authorization code, as well? I have installed mine, and the dealer did input the code, but the lights do not come on. All connections have been verified, but the lights do not come on. No power to the lights.

Yes, both kits will require the BCM to be reprogrammed. We came across a similar issue with everything being connected and the lights still not coming on. What we did was check the wiring again and verified everything to be in place, we ended up finding that one of the terminals was not fully set in place. Once that was done everything worked with out any issues.
