I love the CT6 but I feel Cadillac should offer more wood in the interior. The navigation screen should have some wood around it. The platinum edition doesn’t look like and upgrade from the lower models. When you look at the refresh of the 2020 Genesis G 90 they really upgraded the interior from the 2019 model. Cadillac only change some of the controls in the 2019 vs 2018.

I've had my 2019 CT6 for four months and have found that the new 10 speed transmission is a huge improvement over the 8 speed transmission that I had in my awful 2017 CT6 so I'm glad I traded. The 2019 has a nice refresh on both ends, though the interior is the same and to be honest, it feels like a basic GM interior. When people find fault with its interior, I point out that the cost savings make the vehicle more affordable. It has leather that feels like vinyl and real wood trim that looks like plastic, but again, it's far less expensive and luxurious than its higher end competitors. It's a very attractive sedan for what it costs.

Luxury Fred I think this comment is the ultimate selling point for Cadillac. Affordable top American luxury. I want everyone to think Audi’s BMWs and other German cars in Germany are just cars and not everyone has a M3, 7-series, or an A8. Most BMWs have cloth seats and the Mercedes have 4 bangers and no sunroofs. Americans buy German brands because of exclusivity. Once the Caddy is so good no one can afford it, believe me it will be better than the German’s. The best example is look at the last CTS V. High horsepower, plenty of luxury, but so expensive that most of us will ever see one in person or drive it. How will Americans enjoy Cadillacs if we can’t afford them.

@@rovercoupe7104 No, I think it's taxes / import duties. In the past five years, they have been making some amazing cars. They are huge sellers in China and other parts of the world, so I have to think it's about the price. With taxes / duties, a Cadillac is a lot more expensive than a comparable BMW / Audi / Jag / MBZ. As a commercial driver for 30 years,safety is on our minds every three seconds. Hands free tech' is a great tool,but paying attention to the road and your surroundings is critical to staying alive... Looking forward to the up and coming videos...
@FreddySherman2 жыл бұрын
@@brewmorgan8942 I agree with you, but that's the thing, the computer and sensors and camera are checking the road thousands of times a seconds, more than you or me or any human can. The Cadillac system is different as you must look at the road for it to work. It scans your face, head and eyes and if you even look away, it gives you an alert and begins to disengage, unless you look back at the road, with your eyes, not just your head. If if you look down at the radio, it will alert and disengage unless you look back at the road. It's more like an auto pilot system for a big aircraft. The pilots use it to help fly the plane, but they never leave the cockpit to let it fly itself!

Thank you for this video, but truth be told, this car does not compare to the Mercedes, BMW, Audi, Lexus or the Genesis G90. Don’t get me wrong, it’s an absolutely beautiful car, but it’s sort of like a pretty girl with bad breath. It looks great until you open the door. The seats are not comfortable, the buttons and stalks are cheap, the exterior handles feel cheap and it doesn’t have soft close doors. If the interior of this car was paid more attention to, then this car would be able to be compared to the others. Until then, it’s overpriced and the only way it would make sense to me that anyone could think that the interior of this car is beautiful is if they have only experienced subpar interiors. That being said, I do love the way it looks.
@FreddySherman4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching and for your comment. I would have to disagree a little as it does compare to some models of those brands, but maybe not their models that cost the same. Like it does compete with the quality of a 3-series BMW but not a 7-series. I agree with you that it does feel a bit cheap and you certainly know instantly you're in a GM car. None of those cars have Super Cruise, which is some amazing technology. If I was in the market, I would need to sit in each and drive each one in the price range to really make a decision. I would probably get a Lexus LS.
@BeTheBossOfYourMotorcycle4 жыл бұрын
Luxury Fred Well the only way to compare this car, as any other, is to base it on the cost of the car as well as the class (size) that it’s in. Based on the price and size of the CT6, it would be compared to an S Class, 7 Series, A8, LS 500 or G90. Comparing it to a 3 series would be ridiculous. Cadillac has a vehicle in that class, but it’s not the CT6. Super Cruise is cool, but the catch is you have to have OnStar for it to operate. You get it free for 2 years but after that, if you want to use it, you have to pay. No thank you. The G90 has HDA (Highway Drivers Assist) which also allows you to drive hands free for a good amount of time, including in stop and go traffic. I’m not saying it’s as good as Super Cruise, but it does a great job and no extra cost.
@FreddySherman4 жыл бұрын

People probably said the same thing about cruise control! You're totally missing the point. Yes, you like driving your car and enjoy it. But if you have to take a long, freeway trip, hundreds of miles of freeway driving, this gives you the option to make it easier. Not having to hold the steering wheel makes long drives much more comfortable. No painful arms or shoulders. You still have to pay attention to the road, it just automates more of the process.
