Can you do this with a bose amp with 7 bose speakers from ZL1? I have a 1SS and ordered bose speakers (7) that came off a wrecked ZL1

This is easiest and most detailed video I’ve found so far. But I have one question how would u wire the Bose harness with that amp?? I’m trying to do it for my camaro but the Bose harness is missing the violet wire
@sergioklukas53294 жыл бұрын
i have a 2019 camaro 2ss convertible if you have a bose system in your car this install will not work you will need to add a Audio control LC2i it's about $99.00 you can get on at best buy.
@sniperlif32 жыл бұрын
Big issues for doing this install for Camaro owners, as he stated, the forward part of the trunk is soft, so boxes easily move if not secured. The big problem (for me at least) is the rear section of the trunk because the stock hard foam inserts actually provide support from flexing. Doing this will likely lower the amount of weight you can put back there. For me, my Camaro is my grocery getter and I do use it for heavy supplies. Just something to think about.
@davidbricker71243 жыл бұрын
Watching this video gave me hope. Would you mind sharing the Amp and Speakers you used? I am duplicating your modifications. My Camaro is 2017 LT Coupe but I think the system is the same non-Bose.

I think I used a 500 watt fosgate mono amp and jl 10. I only added a sub. I also used a basic line level converter. I don’t have the car anymore so not exactly sure what was in it.

I wonder about heat buildup? Does the speaker level turn on work properly but more importantly, does it turn OFF automatically as well?
@indecisivegarage23895 ай бұрын
I didn’t have any heat issues especially with a class d amp. The speaker level triggers shutdown well. They have a delay from when the last signal was received and shutdown.

I used the dedicated line from the line level converter. The converter is tied to the battery constant on and uses the speaker inputs to sense signal and switch its remote line on.

What was the reason you needed to install this?
@D.Ashlaw11710 ай бұрын
To send signal to a line out converter for an aftermarket amplifier for a subwoofer. It’s just a T harness adapter. You could do the same thing by finding a wiring diagram and splicing into the factory harness, but with this there’s no cutting or modification to the cars wiring. Hope that helps
