Mine is a base model.2019. For mine the first thing was the auto stop at red lights. Well it shuts off when it wants to. Then during the day the rpm runs about 900 rpm it does race the engine. Then if you idle it. It will shut off. So for some that’s good some that’s bad. For me it was bad. If the dealer told me that I would not buy it. Lots of room yes. Looks great yes. Then I have a lot of metal noise inside the auto. Not the spare tire. It took them a total of 13 days to fix the problem. Every time I took it in. They say they fixed it. To find out it was never fixed. Now that noise is fixed and I have a lot of vibration going on. In the rear inside right side. Glad the metal noise is fixed. Then I just found out my my lift gate does not lock. Maybe I got a lemon. Then I found out on my own they just rigged the metal noise. And now I can’t slide my rear seat back. I have to slam it back. Then I noticed the seatbelt lates are not the ones that came with the auto. I can’t speak for others. But all together with my base model I’m paying close to 40 grand for all the insurance and crap they offer. It could just be my auto that is a lemon or it could be others. I will say this tread lightly when buying this auto I got mine from the avenues of Jacksonville Florida Cogin Chevy of the avenues

I own this exact model. I have only ONE single complaint about them entire vehicle. And that is the no front parking assist, I guess that’s more of a pet peeve than a complaint. But all in all, this thing is fun to drive, smooth, quiet, and beautiful, inside and out! It actually feels like you’re driving a mid size sedan. I often forget I’m in a full size SUV. I mean this thing is the same length as a Tahoe, and has more cubic interior space than a Tahoe. But feels as nimble as a small to midsize sedan. Truly a remarkable vehicle by GM, and that’s saying something. But all in all, I don’t think I’d be this happy with any other current SUV on the market. @oambrosia5 жыл бұрын
The CX-9 is really nice and drives great but it is REALLY small compared to this behemoth. It just depends on what you need. The Traverse (and Buick Enclave) have the best 3rd row in the segment by a long shot.
@stephenhendricks1035 жыл бұрын
@@oambrosia The CX-9 is tiny in terms of interior space but it's nearly the same overall size as the Traverse. (199" vs 204"). The award for the least efficient interior packaging in the industry goes to the CX-9.
@normt54635 жыл бұрын
CX-9 is too small and not the best handling in this segment. The Travsere RS is quicker and better handling in C&D compariaon with Subaru Ascent.
@stephenhendricks1035 жыл бұрын
@@normt5463 Interesting perspective. I'll check out the C&D comparison. It's somewhat surprising since the CX-9 has earned more or less universal praise for its handling. And in my experience it handles well on secondary roads for a vehicle its size. (I haven't driven the Traverse.) My objection to the CX-9 is that handling on backroads is less important in this class of SUV's than navigating suburban traffic and parking lots. And for those duties the size of the CX-9 (and the Traverse for that matter) is a handicap. But at least the Traverse compensates for that issue with a cavernous interior and excellent passenger space throughout the cabin. The CX-9 does not. Edit: Just read the C&D comparison. I suspect you consulted the quantitative results rather than the accompanying narrative where the writer slammed the CX-9 for interior space but (like most automotive reviewers) praised the CX-9's handling over both the Ascent and the Traverse. Numbers do sometimes lie, of course, but I think most reviewers are influenced by the looks of the CX-9 in their overall evaluations and commentaries. The CX-9's profile with its looong hood and high (numeric) ratio between the length of the vehicle from the front bumper to the A pillar versus the length from the A pillar to the rear bumper exemplifies a design trick used by designers for nearly a century to suggest potency and performance, factors that are especially appealing to male drivers (and automotive journalists.) :)
@normt54635 жыл бұрын
@@stephenhendricks103 I figured you would get buffaloes by the journalist that favor a vehicle that doesnt have sales to back it up. Of course the CX-9 feels small it is much smaller than the Traverse. Or you can compare on Motor Trend numbers of each and see that the Traverse RS is one second faster in the figure-8 handling course than the CX-9 or about 3 car lengths at autocross speeds of about 40 mph. That is huge! The MT longterm CX-9 inerior was well worn at 27,000 miles with noticeable signs of wear which is much too early. www.motortrend.com/cars/mazda/cx-9/2017/2017-mazda-cx-9-touring-awd-long-term-update-5-review/

This supposedly replaced the Trailblazer back in 2009. Bad move Chevy! The TB was a body on frame real 4x4 SUV. with lots of options and off road capabilities . You could even get an SS version with a Corvette power-plant. Say what you want about them but there are millions of them still on the road w/high miles and still running great. The new Blazer is nice if you want a Rav4 with a Camaro grill. No 4x4 , only AWD as an option. Same with this grocery getter. If this new design was body on frame and had a 4x4 drive train with a 4Low available with the Atlas 4200 Vortec I would purchase one right now. So I'll keep my Trailblazer till it falls on it's face . By the way the "new" Trailblazer will be out next year . A total disappointment in my opinion. Just another Rav4 clone. After looking at other cars in this class the interior/dash of American cars is embarrassing..

In real life this car is quite good looking. Chevy really nailed a nice design. Unfortunately, the reliability of Chevy in general will keep me away...

There is some transmission issues with it being rough but it is just the new 9-speed break-in process for fuel economy. Before redesign Traverse was ranked tops in segment over Toyota Sequoia by Consumer Reports.

Not sure if this is relevant but our 2012 Equinox has been rock solid for reliability. I’ve changed the oil and wiper blades - that’s it.
@bikebudha015 жыл бұрын
@@PhillipsMikeC Not relevant. Why? If a car brand has a vehicle where 20% of them are crap, that still means 80% of them aren't. You have to look at the larger sample size. Toyota makes lemons too. Just far far less, as a percentage, than Chevy. Thus Toyota is considered more reliable...

@michaels79845 жыл бұрын
@@normt5463 ok it's better than the explorer. Cx9 handles better in mainstream. And if you are comparing by price could easily compare high country or premier to Acura mdx, which handles better.

@@michaels7984 Motor Trend handling tests of the CX-9 has it at 27.1s which is the same as MDX Aspec. The Traverse RS is much faster at a 26.7s. And that is with FWD putting the power down. Considering the Traverse is much larger than the smaller Japanese crossovers it will be much more athletic to drive. Car & Driver had the Traverse at 27 mpg at 75 mph on their 200-mile test.
