Very good review, I got the 2020 Bolt premier about 3 weeks ago and I love it, but I really hope they don't go 100% touch screen buttons. There are many cases where the hardware buttons are just a lot safer when driving. Things like needing the defrost, or something simple like changing cabin temperature, I can stay on whichever screen I am (specially here where you don't have navigation built in and need to use apple carplay or android auto). And voice recognition isn't fast enough either (to replace hardware buttons)

Love to see "WALMART" be the first to have about 6+ charge stations @ EVERY STORE in USA near front or side of store to buy say a 1 hour Charge! Walmart knows the Customer will have an hour+ to shop during the charge & we will know that if you go to Walmart to shop there here will be charge stations too!

??? Regarding Remote Start: Is there a way the Air conditioning can come on automatically and pre-cool the car, just by remotely turning the car on?
@stand.600811 ай бұрын
I use the Chevrolet app to do that. You have to have it already on the settings before you turned off your car.

Well-detailed review. Just a recommendation: Leave the 15min+ review of the center console for later, and focus on actually driving the thing first. After all it's a car, not a tablet with optional wheels.

I would not bother buying one right now until GM takes responsibility for the current recalls where the vehicle bursts in flames
@geothermal Жыл бұрын
Over 100,000 Bolts have been sold or leased to date in the U.S. and 16 caught fire. That triggers the recall of course and they are getting checked. "Apparently these 2017 to 2023 model year Bolt EVs have seatbelt pretensioners whose exhaust gases may set fire to the vehicle's carpets in the event of a crash." So very rare indeed. I wonder how may gas cars caught fire ? I'll google it. "Overall, EVs are about 0.3 percent likely to ignite, versus a 1.05 percent likelihood for gas cars, according to the Bureau of Transportation Statistics and the National Transportation Safety Board compiled by Auto Insurance EZ last year." So yeah, looks like you are currently more likely to die in your gas car. Switch to EV for safety to protect yourself and your family.

why they dont do regen on gas paddle instead press the button ? Telsa regen while braking when you left go off the gas paddle.

They do have regen when you let off the pedal. It works very well. It's a choice you can make with the shifter.

There are no foglights, let alone LEDs. Source: 2019 Bolt owner
@geothermal Жыл бұрын
"Almost all factory-installed or dealer-optional fog lamps, and a great many aftermarket units, are essentially useless for any purpose, especially for extremely demanding poor-weather driving. Many of them are too small to produce enough light to make a difference, produce beam patterns too narrow to help, lack a sufficiently-sharp cutoff, and throw too much glare light into the eyes of other drivers, no matter how they're aimed. Good (and legal) fog lamps may produce white or Selective Yellow light-it is the beam pattern, not the light colour, that defines a fog lamp-and most of them use tungsten-halogen bulbs though there are some legitimate (and a lot of illegitimate) LED fog lamps beginning to appear. Xenon or HID bulbs are inherently unsuitable for use in fog lamps, and blue or other-colored lights are also the wrong choice."

I’m afraid of GM products, convince me to try the Bolt.
@BachmanAutoGroupLouisville5 жыл бұрын
Understandable. I would say that it’s the best bang for your buck in the compact electric sector. It has a battery only range of 238 miles compared to something significantly more expensive like the BMW i3(which my dad has) which only gets 153 miles battery only. It has its flaws but it’s fast off the line, dead quiet, pretty spacey for how small it is, and has great range. And the best part is, you could come to a dealership and test drive it and decide for yourself! Thanks for checking out the video, Evan!
