I've always wondered. Is it possible that Koryan faces Joseph in Round 1? And like weaker players play against weaker players. And say Joseph makes it to the finals, doesn't it discredit the other finalist somewhat that they played in a much easier bracket?
@matthewmandell88045 жыл бұрын
The bracket is seeded based upon highest score during the qualification stage on the first day. Joseph is seed 1 and Koryan seed 2, meaning they can't face each other until finals.

@@matthewmandell8804 Ahh. Makes sense. Thanks.
@PeterJavi5 жыл бұрын
With their levels of skill and the way this tournament is set up (hi-lo seeding in round 1), it is impossible for any of the top 10 players to play each other before round 2. What could happen in the future is that the real top players (Koryan, Joseph, Greentea, Jonas) all get guaranteed seeds in the quarter finals based on number of maxouts during qualifying or pre-qualifying and the rest of the players would battle their way through the pack.

@Gattsu_OG5 жыл бұрын
@@hilaldbouk8287 they sure do... Watch part 1 of this round. The commentators tell you who wins matches in the second part since the games are being played simultaneously. Hell they even tell you how many games it took in some cases. It spoiled this video. Which is extra frustrating when you consider they make all the videos 45 mins long to avoid spoiling how fast the matches are.
@Gattsu_OG5 жыл бұрын
@Shinixter I understand how it works. But the casters for group 1 don't need to be commenting on the second group. I understand this is done live on twitch first. I'm saying most people don't watch it live. If they want it to grow (faster than it currently is) they need to not be spoiling the other videos.

@Shinixter yea you are right. In fact that's how I ended up trying to avoid spoilers. When I hear the crowd cheer and nothing happens on the main stage I just cover my ears. But often it gets past the impenetrable barrier that my hands form:p.

wanna ask a question does a player who play ‘hyper-tap’ got more advantage than player who play normally?
@eriellevillanueva40645 жыл бұрын
Normally players hold down left/right, and wait for a small delay before the piece starts moving automatically (this is called DAS, or Delayed Auto Shift). Hyper tapping means you tap left/right super fast, which can let you move pieces way faster than DAS. It's pretty tough though, you'd have to tap more than 10 times a second to make up for not holding left/right. Hypertapping is advantageous because it gives players more flexibility when playing, since it lets them get pieces to the side much faster than DAS players.
@souleymanediawara77145 жыл бұрын

@@souleymanediawara7714 Pretty sore, I imagine! 😩 Mad respect to all the hypertappers out there.. I think I read a tweet where Joseph mentioned he's experienced hand pains from hypertapping before.. @jp06785 жыл бұрын
@@souleymanediawara7714 It is not like you actually tap more than 10 times for each piece. You just tap like 2-5 times in a short burst and then you get a few hundred milliseconds pause. Like you are asked to run at 50km/s or more but you're actually just traveling for like 3-5 meters then rest for a few seconds (not the best analogy, yes, don't kill me).
@wohlhabendermanager5 жыл бұрын
Excellent answer from Erielle, but I just want to add that hypertapping or DASing doesn't determine how good a player is. People always go on about how Joseph is so good because he hypertaps. Those people do not understand that Joseph isn't good because he hypertaps, he's good because he's good at playing Tetris. That last sentence may be a "duh" moment at first, but in the end it all comes down to how well you can manage your stack, not to how fast you can tap.
