I own a 2015 Diavel Dark with a full Termi system, & aftermarket tune + quickshifter, I rode the new 2019 Diavel today and the 3 main take-aways are; 1. Handling on new Diavel is very direct, I like my 2015 Diavel but it always feels like the front wheel wants to wash out on a hard turn in a sweeping bend..... nothing at all like that on the new Diavel, it just plain goes where you point the front wheel and feels like it is perfectly balanced the whole time. 2. Brakes are a bit soft on new Diavel though I say that with the caveat that the new one I rode was not the 'S' model, and also the demo bike only had 450km's on it..... 3. The new Diavel feels like a bike with manners and a level of refinement, but can also rip your head off when you properly want to rip in....... but in a safe kind of nurturing way. The old (2015) Diavel (noting I have a full Termi system) is a bike with attitude and feels like you are kind of riding a beast when you properly want to rip in, and while it feels competent it doesn't always feel 'safe' like the newer version. It's an 'each to their own' proposition: Old bike has attitude and personality, new bike has competence abounding and feels as safe as you ever will on a ~ 160hp V-twin. It's really a matter for the individual!

Saw one on the weekend and the owner updated and was fully stoked about it. Such a lovely looking machine that he said was the most beautiful power he had ever experiend after riding many bikes for 35 years. I just want one so much now but I know I can't handle that much power. I'm just a nutter! 😂

Yes, this is the bike I want. So cool all around. The variable valve overlap is ingenious. The weight to power ratio is greater than any other hooligan bike or street naked bike. The entire design combines comfort, power and handling like nothing else. No other muscle bike can do as much. KTM 1290 Superduke? Yeah ok, probably faster but not for me.

Suspension is adjustable on the S model curious if you tried any adjustments?
@Dara-ih6jq3 жыл бұрын
My friend adjusts his and even tracks it. He actually races sports bikes (BMW1000RR) and he just said his Diavel is the most fun to ride. His other bike is strictly business and a pure race bike. But he goes on and on about how much you can change the riding characteristics by adjusting the suspension he swears it’s one of the best features of the bike.

So, how is this model better than the previous model? I own one, and prefer the look of mine, especially on the "near" side. Chain is very exposed, while most of the trellis frame is covered on this. Also, seat sits too high, and don't like the rear number plate bracket having the indicators on it.

I liked the review and the bike, Ducati owns this niche at the moment. I see Harley Davidson as a potential contender, but their power cruisers, like the FXDR, lack good suspension and a well-balanced electronics package. They still have some catching up to do. Missed some commentary on suitability for touring with luggage.

The red Diavel looks fantastic, if you own a Ducati, it's just got to be red. The problem with the black or grey models is the loss of shape especially with the black model which not only loses the marvellous lines but also looks smaller and dirtier which takes away the on-road presence.

Nice looking bike To be honest I need to decide between MT09 and Diavel
@zyomer68554 жыл бұрын
If ur a beginner, MT is better, just because unlike the Diavel you won't need to worry about dropping $3k when you scratch it up a bit. The Diavel is so powerful, but city mode limits it to 100hp. Touring mode delivers full power, but the actual pull is really smooth. If you have the money to spend and you have a large amount of courage, go for the Diavel (I would).

I'm with Kerry on this one, the Rocket 3, while being a fantastic bike, really lacks in the sound department and you can't get an aftermarket exhaust for it either. The Diavel, on the other hand, can be fitted with the Termignoni exhaust and OMG, the V2 pumps out a beautiful deep rumble that is a real joy to listen to. Also the Rocket 3 wouldn't fit through my front door :-)
