I've got the first generation Ford Edge. It's a actually a great crossover. My only major complaints are the breaks are two small and windshield glare.

The ST interior is nice but I've noticed that apart from the ST emblazoned seats, the interior is exactly the same as my mother's 2018 Edge Sport, which is surprising as I thought it would have been updated in some way. But hey, if it isn't broken don't fix it I guess.

I feel like not having a manual transmission kind of breaks the ST formula. Both the Fiesta and Focus ST are manual only, why shouldn't the Edge ST? Oh, I know why: "it's built for the American market and we also don't want to put in the time to engineer a whole new transmission because we don't have one that fits the Ecoboost because us Americans are lazy and won't buy it :(" THIS IS THE ONLY THING I WANT IN AN SUV OR TRUCK: A MANUAL OPTION THAT COMES WITH A DECEMT ENGINE. Maybe it's just me, but it kinda sounds like you were expecting an RS while driving an ST. The Focus and Fiesta ST's are cool, and decently quick, but they aren't balls-to-the-wall. Seems like the Edge ST fits the bill, especially for the price. If they ever make an Edge RS, well that better fully be kitted out

The 2.0 Eco motor, at least in 2016, had bad architecture between the cylinder head. Which inevitably led to the long block having to be replaced! As long as Ford has fixed that in the newer models, we love ours. It fits our family, dogs, tools, pretty much anything you throw at it (there are storage bays beneath the board in the back around the spare tire that are amazing). We really love taking it camping with some soft off roading to camp sites. The AWD system on it has worked flawlessly. We run the Michelin Defender on ours, and it drive like a car with size more comparable to an SUV.

I have the 2.7l Ecoboost (same engine as this) in my F150 and it’s badass. Actually beats the 3.5 Ecoboost and the 5.0 NA in a quarter mile (although the others win in too speed.) Because it’s a small engine the turbos spook up so quickly, so it’s really fun and responsive.

nuclearjanitors i have a 2017 fusion with the 2.0, not to be anything special but it’s a fun affordable practical car. Numbers are 245hp and 275 ft lbs.. you really notice the torque like Nolan said if you keep it in the 3500 range.

I did some work on it, a little under the hood and a little tune...don't have any concrete numbers to cite but its definetely noticeable. Not to mention it's a steel frame vehicle that weighs 3600 lb and fits all my dogs. I've been driving a 1988 5 L Bronco for the last 15 years so having something fast is nice.
