I was a loyal GM customer for years (decades actually, and I grew up in Detroit), until they took our tax money to “survive” and opened factories in China with it. Additionally, the last 6 GM vehicles that I have owned in the past, and one Ford, were all marginal (at best), most were even less, (service call queens), with respect to quality and reliability. I went to Toyota, I have a 2019 CrewMax Limited 4x4, and I wont look back. My Tundra is great, I have no issues with it at all. And I also have peace of mind knowing that the Tundra is rated as the most reliable truck on the American road. In 2019 Tundra was also the truck with the most American content of any 1/2 ton truck sold in the USA, including made with America steel and aluminum from American mills. Unlike Toyota, most of those GM vehicles are made with Chinese parts and steel, and assembled in Mexico; if made in their remaining US or Canadian factories, they are made with inferior labor practices by idiots from the UAW. No thank you to GM, Ford or FCA - or whatever their new French owner (Peugeot) calls them now.

Bought a 2019 GMC Sierra AT4 with the 6.2l engine and love it. I average around 16 mpg. No issues so far. Great video

Just went by the dealer for a computer reprogram (the auto lights and the lane keep assist failed) and saw they are discounting the 2019 Denali by $10K now!

I have the 2019 Sierra 1500 SLT with the first premium pack. It was a pricey truck but overall it's a beaut. Love everything about it, the style, features, power and everything else that comes with it. Only problems were a recall on the brakes which had to be fixed twice and one of the two horns stopped working after driving through a puddle at around 15 mph (mostly my fault) and it was fixed by extended warranty for free. 3 weeks after buying the truck someone did a hit and run on the drivers side right above the front fender and it made a large dent and scratch on the side. I saw a video and it looked like it dented pretty easily. I have yet to get it fixed, simply due to the long time it'll take to be fixed in the body shop, but still it's an amazing truck

Great content. looking to get one for myself. just need to get me a Tuner or something to disable the v4 mode or the Active fuel management. The v4 mode is good for fuel mileage but it does a lot of damage to the lifters.

Great video! I'm thinking of getting one exactly like yours, and I have a question; I see the sat nav screen zooming in when you're slowing down. Is this an automatic feature or something you set up? Just curious. I love the interior and I think it's one of the best-looking trucks out there. It's great hearing from a real owner who lives with the truck every day.

That was very interesting. I hope you are keeping up with Transmission fluid and filter change as well as differential oil changes (more often than is required by GM). I heard that there were lots of issues with these two. Do you have a 6 or 10 speed transmission?

I totally agree with your opinion of GMC taking the interior durability route versus the over the top trimmings as is in the beautiful Ram. The Denali is really nice, but not as frilly as the Ram. I describe the 2019 Denali as “rugged” luxury and holds up well. I prefer the less complex Denali look...not to mention that beastie engine. It’s a very fun daily driver!

Great truck only down side is that the Bose system rattles the hell out of my doors. Even at when bass is set to low. Dealership can’t seem to fix this issue ugh other than that great truck

It will make a small deduction in the payment. IMO the GMC holds its value so well it is more of a Buy rather than Lease... You are much less likely to find yourself upside down 3 years down the road if you were to sell it. It you trade every couple years tho, Leasing may be a good option. Thanks for watching Carlos!

Ive got almost 30k on the 2019 6.2 .... better truck all the way around... but still it depends on your personal financial situation. The 2019 is a better warranty situation also... low miles and only 1 year old.

Bout time for a LOOONG term review! Got 50K miles.. no issues other than gremlins in the High beams/Lane assist... a assume they use the same sensor because often neither is working. I think it maybe because frost or dirt is covering the sensor. Other than that and the wear on the driver step.... no issues. looks new still.

thanks... nope , we both still work everyday. bought a small house in 1988, paid most of it off and bought a larger house in 1998, paid most of it off and bought this one in 2013... its a long term plan. and thats my wife... she stopping aging about 20 years ago while I just keep getting older ... lol

Thank you for the great review. I'm glad you're enjoying your truck. I bought a base double cab 19 Sierra with the 4.3 V6 last summer. I've had 4 recalls on it, the radio had to be replaced because it kept freezing, and the doors had to be resealed because water was leaking in. In predominantly city driving with a lot of stop and go, I only seem to be getting 14 mpg. That's much less than what the sticker advertised and a lot less than yours which is a much better enigne. I don't have a power seat on mine like you do so it is difficult to see over the big hood. I've owned 3 GMC trucks prior to this and enjoyed them a lot but this one has been a bit of disappointment. Did you notice an improvement in your fuel economy once the motor broke in?

I got a brand new AT4 Monday with the 6.2, within 30 miles the motor blew, it was a bent exhaust value. They haven't told me why it happened yet but the dealer swapped my truck for another AT4 so i would not have to wait for the motor replacement.

oh also I had a 2015 6.2 Denali i traded in. Loved the truck but it had two lifter jobs by 40k miles. Also had the brakes fail. Loved the truck though, really love the new At4. I do have reliability concerns though for these truck.

it does not but it does have lane keep assist and front accident avoidance so you would think it would be a little step to get that done. I had that on one of my Jags... once you have had it , you really miss it when its gone! thanks for the comment!

Good review. Lots of useful information and believe me, I’m very grateful for your review. But I gotta be honest with you and I see this everywhere especially in your age and my age group. And that has to do with your braggadocious attitude from the begging of your video clip to the end. You started off by showing your wife or girlfriend’s behind and showed her off again and again unnecessarily. Then you told us about your new construction job meaning you’re a man of wealth and topped it off by a drone view of your big house at the end. I’m an Iranian American man who was born in Iran and grew up in the States from the age of 15. I’m lucky enough to live the American dream and had to work my ass off to get it. Goldwing Pilot Fair enough... Curt and I both started with nothing, worked for 30 years before we were able to afford any of this stuff. I spent 21 years the Army Reserve, served in two wars, went to night school for 15 years while working 60 hours a week at the company I now own after working at it for almost 30 years also. When I wasn’t serving over seas, I saw my daughter awake for one day a week. Now we made KZbin videos for free for a year b4 we started getting paid. We just started making enough on YT to buy our 1st Supercar. Curt has basically the same story. “I don’t rub it in” in the same sentence as “ the house, the cars, the planes...” right.... just because you don’t put it on the video doesn’t mean you don’t “rub it in” every time you start the engine in one of those cars or take a trip on your “planes”. Don’t kid yourself. You deserve it just like we do and maybe... just maybe... some kid will see what you have accomplished and be inspired to get of his or her ass and do something exceptional. I am a KZbin mentor and I have helped kids start making money on KZbin. We participate in fund raisers and charities and raise thousands for those that need it. We are proud of what we accomplished and we plan on doing more of the same. Maybe you should do a review on one of those planes. Oh... and so now my wife shouldn’t be allowed to be on KZbin because she is an attractive woman...? Sigh.

No, this one was a 6.2. We now have a 2021 3.0 Diesel in the fleet and just turned 14k miles on it. A review of that one to come soon but so far that one has been rock solid.

2022 gm is finally upgrading the interior and finally getting rid of column shifter finally and still was not anybody discuss that these trucks have a afm motor and thats a real problem them afm lifters are collapsing pieces of shit you should send your ecu off to have the afm/delete done on it or else face the hell u will have when you dont

most reviews are from people that have had the vehicle 1 or 2 days and haven't had to live with it. from that perspective... 6 months is a a long time. We have 60k on the truck now... will probably do a follow up. Have we had issues? yep. Has it left me on the side of the road? nope.

First problem I see is a frontal area that has the aerodynamics of a brick wall moving. Can you imagine pushing that down the highway in a head wind . the definition of engineering at work👎. .. Don't give me BS about you don't by a truck for mpg. Your still getting the same gas mileage of 20 years ago and those trucks were much heavier. PS , BS NO way you getting 27mpg in touring mode. You lucky if you average 16 city/highway combined . That's what I get on my 2005 GMC. I went in to buy new Silverado , I just couldn't do it...yes I was qualified to buy and they let me drive it for a day.

Just drove 600 miles to Amelia Island for the Concours with the back seat full of luggage... used cruise control most of the way... minded my accelerations. 22.5 mpg. We were watching it closely because of gas shortages. The 27 mpg is right there in the video. Real life average about 21. I would look at the driving style of the driver, not the truck.
