Not off topic at all. If the music is clear enough and plays for a long enough duration - YES. Has happened on a few recent videos with my Chieftain Dark Horse where I was riding and had music playing with bluetooth so it was crystal clear and bam - copyrighted. It's not a 'strike' when that happens. You're video will remain monetized and instead of that money going to you it goes to the copyright holder of the music. Glad someone asked about that! I'll agree with most of everything you said except...the passenger seat area sucks for a passenger, the bars (at least for me and many others) are uncomfortable after a couple hours of riding. You had the vents closed that help with the wind buffeting, the vents are one of the reasons I bought this bike (2018 RGS) my Yamaha has a full batwing fairing and on hi ways my helmet/glasses would be moving so bad it would give me a headache after an hour or so. I also agree the difference between a frame mounted fairing versus a fork mounted fairing is a huge difference. I've added the Hammock seat, a set of KST Kustom 10" mini apes and a few other add on's and love it!

Bredaxe curious why you keep referring to the price of $17K? Is that just an arbitrary number or did you read it somewhere?
@Bredaxe6 жыл бұрын
@@mrh3085 That price doesn't matter, it's a price floating around dealer invoice. It's not like the factory couldn't restructure that price. HD pricing has produced a wall in terms of growth and their rabidly loyal fans are aging, and have most likely already purchased their last bike. Now they have to figure out how to sell their niche product in a niche industry, with potential buyers who are far from brand loyal and more value conscious. That's why a price restructuring is important, because a bailout won't happen again. What tells me they have no clue is the $22k they want for that FXDR nobody asked for.

Indian now has a shut off cylinder that activates at red lights so your balls don't burn up. And they added 3 diffrent driving modes from standard to sport which stiffens shocks and better throttle response

I know! I was reading about it the second they announced it on Wednesday. I'm so excited to do test rides on the new Indians!

Wow that radio isn't very powerful. You had to turn it up alot to get it loud enough to hear it. Indian has such a superior sound system.
@MOTOBLADE6 жыл бұрын
Yes, Indians system blew me away with volume and audio QUALITY on about 30% power. Far superior to Harleys system.

Awesome review. I agree that the road glide is super comfortable, and I like the road glide over the street glide. But I'm still disappointed with harley that their infotainment system is not very powerful, nor is it as customizable as the Indian is. Harley is still playing catch up to Indian.
@MOTOBLADE6 жыл бұрын
Harley really is playing catch up at this point. Indian is innovating and staying ahead in the game.

Which is precisely why the DARKHORSE INDIAN CHIEFTAN IS MY NEXT BIKE. I RODE BOTH, THE INDIAN JUST DID IT FOR ME, HOWEVER, I AM VERY AWARE THAT HARLEY IS A BEAST AS WELL, THE NUMBERS JUST AREN'T MEASURING UP AGAINST INDIAN, CUBIC INCHES NOR PRICE NUMBERS......

What is new for the 2019 indians? looks like they still have the same 111 motor (2 valves/cylinder) and infotainment system. Their site shows rear cylinder deactivation added but harley has had EITMS for a decade. I am in the market for a Chieftain or a RG but not seeing what makes Indian ahead of the game. They did well against the twin-cam in 2014 but what has changed with the thunderstroke in 5 years?

@@tax905972 the "not a Harley" factor. And some like the label Indian.
@MOTOBLADE6 жыл бұрын
@@crawl994 That 111 is an award winning engine. Produces same torque as the Milwaukee 8 114. Has the rear cylinder deactivation and now different power modes you can put the engine into. It's ride command system also blows Harleys infotaiment system out of the water. I also like the look of Indian better and they are America's first motorcycle company, but that part is just personal preference. My best suggestion is always test ride everything and buy whichever bike you fall in love with, regardless of what other people say or think. It's all for the love of 2 wheels. 😁

I like it for longer trips, but I agree with you, I like to see the road. That's why I have 2 bikes :) one with nothing in front of me, and one with a windshield and gps and sound system for long hauls (Indian Chieftain Dark Horse)
