2019 Hino 268A with Sleeper and 24' BoxTruck-Walk Around

Here is a short walk around video on a custom freight truck I had built for a customer. We put a sleeper on a Hino cab and chassis and then put a box behind it.
I can build these pretty quickly. This truck is sold, but we have more chassis to build on. I have chassis in stock that we can use to build this truck. Pricing depends on what you want on the truck.

That's a nice setup , I would add an inverter under the bed and one microwave ,a coffee machine and a small fridge all inside a toolbox just for the driver convenience , hey that's like half a semi right there.

You could add a lot of options. Just depends on the size of the sleeper. But there are options they can build into it.

That is one helluva setup on that truck!! I could actually realistically do OTR again with my beloved Freightliner if I could put that same size sleeper between my box and cab. Mine is a 26' box, not 24'. And it has a lift gate with a roll up door. Would this same setup be feasible with a truck like mine? And how much would such a modification cost?

i'd remove the bench seat and install either a passenger captain chair or omit the seat altogether.

It can be done and is an option. From the factory it needs to be ordered. Most of the time we are building on in stock chassis. You would also lose the option of having 3 men in the cab, if running local.

Get the CDL and drove for 1 year then buy your box truck unless u got money even then CDL saves u coz u can haul more the required.

I don't deal with Used trucks for upfit. Too much labor involved and I don't sell sleepers. My business is new truck sales. We build the complete product. Unfortunately, I do not and cannot sell sleepers only. hope that makes sense.

@@manteamihai I can't do this upfit on a used truck. I don't sell sleepers, we deal with complete units. It is usually not worth the money to do something like this on a used truck. IMHO

You will have to stretch the truck to do what you want. Doing this build on a used truck is not difficult, just labor cost intensive. I suggest doing it on a new chassis if at all possible.

How big can a sleeper get with no cdl on a truck like this?

USA: as Long as the GVWR does not go over 26,000 pounds (13 us tons, 12 metric tons, 12,000 kg) you will be good. USA License allows you to drive any 2 axle vehicle that does not exceed 26,000 pounds. Canada: depends on the province, for example with a normal car license in Ontario you can drive any 2 axle vehicle that does not exceed 11 tons. But in Alberta, Newfoundland and Labrador, Saskatchewan as long as the vehicle has 2 axles you can drive it, the weight doesn’t matter.

Yes you can make that configuration. non-cdl no problem. For a 26' box with gate. The truck will have to be stretched but it can be easily done.

I sell the complete vehicle. email me [e-mail] me know what you want on the box. We can go from there. Adding a gate and 26' box will bring the cost up more cause we're adding equipment and labor. But it is easily done, I just need to know what you want. Air brakes? e-trac,slats,barndoors? etc. Lots of variables.

Depends what you want on the body and sleeper. As spec'd in this video you'll be low 90's. if we start adding lift gates etc. cost goes up because you have to change the spec of the chassis.

Their is no right or wrong side, It's just not on a convenient to where the DEF pump is on the left, unfortunately you have to keep 5 gal. DEF bottles in your truck, I know that sucks.
