Great review bought one of these in blue 2 weeks ago done 750 miles averaging 65 MPG UK I ordered the comfort pack (heated grips ,small screen and 12 volt socket) but it’s not in stock yet June they say !also ordered the quick shifter and there quoting August !! the tyres are really good in the wet and cold the flat line on gear indicator seems to come on if you’re not fully positive selecting neutral or first, I’m 52 and just got back into motorcycles after 28 years this bike gives you lots of confidence

Only 65 mpg ???? I do 67 mpg (UK) with my small monocylinder 300cc .
@davidfennessey27275 жыл бұрын
Kronocide yes it’s better then I thought my previous bike was a KTM Duke 390 2017 that averaged 77 Mpg some time a smaller engine makes you rev it more and use more fuel First fill 133 miles 8.66 litres 69.82 mpg Second fill 160 miles 11.68 litres 62.82 mpg Third fill 155 miles 10.90 litres 64.26 mpg Fourth fill 176 miles 12.26 litres 65.26 mpg Overall average 65.21 UK MPG

The heated grips. Is it OEM integrated one or an oxford heated grip?

Had a testride on the CB650R this morning. I have a 2018 Versys 650 GT but my back does not agree with its seating postion. As I did my test on a NC750 and sometimes a NC700 and never had a backproblem during those days I opted for this testride. Apparently I need a Honda for my backproblems. 😄 After the testride I stepped off the bike and the salesman could already tell it was good by looking at how I walked. I traded my Versys in for a red CB650R with heated grips and and a free Neo Sports Cafe Pack. I wanted a quickshifter but the gearchanges and slipperclutch are so smooth you really don’t need it. Lost a bit of money on the trade in but getting off a bike with a big smile is priceless and that is exactly what the CB650R did for me.

I test rode the CB yesterday AND the Versys 650 - I loved them both. Going for the CB though as missus rarely on the back which was the main benefit of Versys.

I trained on this bike for my DAS. Easy bike to ride for both MOD1 and MOD2 training and tests. Smooth acceleration and good brakes. Indicators are too close to the horn and can cause confusion. I agree with other comments that highlight needing to be positive in the gear change or the hyphen sign is displayed. All round good bike that is enjoyable to ride.

I test rode and went on to buy one yesterday. I managed to get a cancelled order in matt blue for £6499. I had looked at a few other slightly cheaper rivals but this just stood out as being worth the extra cash for the better fit/finish and spec; it certainly doesn't look or feel like a budget bike. I found the screen to be okay, although the rev counter is a little too small. The clutch is really light (which is great as I have previously broken my wrist), around town I found the fuelling to be great; it certainly felt eager enough for my needs. I also found that it pulled along at 30, 40mph in the higher gears really nicely and was smooth at lower rpms. I also sat on the CBR650R and the ergonomics seemed like a really nice compromise between comfort and sportiness.

This is a really good bike! I traded my BMW RnineT for one. Downsizing was really a good thing for me. Done 7000km on mine and it's really comfy too. I had my sons girlfriend on a 150 km trip and she loved it. I bought a A2 one for my son. That line in the dash os a false neutral. It happens sometimes and it's even mentioned in the book. Thanks for the review!

@Back2Bay6 The Honda is a really good allrounder. And with a Boosterplug it feels stronger earlier in the revband. But now after 37000km it has to go. I bought a KTM.

I wouldn't do an A2 test. Even if you only want to ride low capacity bikes get the full A licence. Bigger bikes are so much easier to ride to start with and then you can get any bike you like. You might find that you won't want an A2 bike once you've ridden a bigger bike.
