Does the M8 screws insert the bolt holes of car body smoothly? Mine is getting blocked after inserting 1 or 2 patch. So the stands are not even being tight. Do I need to drill it? Would it break the car body or fuel tank?

Are the running boards just for looks, or is there enough sticking out to use for entering / exiting?

oldNavyJZ both, when you open the door you can step on it to get in the car

Are these the same running boards that can fit the 2016-2019 pilots?

mounting is the same so yea despite the application showing otherwise., but 2019 looks different. i think the 2019 boards look inferior. it has those 2 notches you see them. the 2016-2018 oem running boards look cleaner

there is no need to cur anything if you are using actual OEM products. Both of mine never needed to cut any trim.

the oem you DO have to cut out the small trim pieces.

Not true. I've installed OE roof racks, running boards and hitches on many Hondas and every one - CR-V, Pilot, Odyssey, require cutting roof trim pieces (sometimes in a few places) to install the OE racks. On the 2018 Pilot you need to cut out part of the bumper for the OE hitch and on the Odyssey's you need to remove/cut/reinstall some underside plastic pieces. Sometimes these pieces are prescored/marked, as they are in this video/install, but sometimes they just give you a measurement such as when installing roof racks.

bigbro9395 it was actually quite easy. They’re etched out so it’s relatively easy to do with just a razor.
