I've been on my 2019 tx300 for a little over a year now and just recently put a lectron on it. I agree with almost everything you said. I'm so happy with mine. It's a 1 year bike, 2018 had older plastic etc, etc. 2020 got tpi. Dont let go of it. It's the epitome of the model. 2020 seems to go downhill because of tpi. It's sad it's all about meeting the euro 5 emissions now with tpi. 2019 tx300 will be the bike everyone wants and cant get. I feel like it will go up in valve.

Great video, thanks for posting it. I just stepped up to a '19 FX350 from a '13 350 EXC, so I'm going through the exact same thing with getting use to the linkage vs PDS shock and AER forks. Seriously considering getting inserts for the forks.

I always thought the TE felt funny. I hate the bend on those bars. Feels so unstable. I figured it’d feel just like your bike but it was so differnt

Have an 18 ktm 6 days 300 looped the fuel line like I mentioned above and put in a JD jet kit and it runs great.

Do the Jarvis Mods, Jet Block Seal and Seat Seal Kit from JD Jetting and loop your Overflow Hose.

Thanks for your video man you are very thorough great job I have the same bike I haven't had problems with the carburetor either other than what you had mentioned about sucking fuel and I haven't even put the JD kit in it which I probably will at some point but right now it's working for me let me know if you put a 52 sprocket on the rear and what your thoughts of that was versus the stock one

I think the mikuni dunks fuel...the one that came on my 125 would piss out most of my fuel lol not even burn it.

I thought it might be too. I raised the float hoping it would do something. Didn't help. So it's either getting out another way, or just poor economy.

Loop the float bowl fuel dump line that helps a lot on the mikuni carb

Hey man just found your channel on MI trail riders...I agree with you on the fuel consumption. My 18 300xc was a gas hog. ran out of gas twice last year. Just sold it now trying to decide which 2020 KTM/Husky bike to get....Whats your recommendation? Mi trail riding only

I probably would have kept your old bike and just put a Lecton on it to be honest. It's still a little too early for me to recommend a TPI but I'm hearing better things about the 2020s. I'd go with a 250 XC/TX for purely Michigan trail, especially if you mostly ride lower Michigan. Maybe even a 250/350 4-stroke depending on how much of the wider stuff you like. I've been eyeing the YZ250FX as a possible second bike myself recently. Not sure I want two bikes though because I'm afraid one will never get ridden.

@@BoboForShort I thought about doing a Lectron, but had two buddies in MI that put one on a 17+ and were not happy with them. Plus mine seems to be thirsty...I thought a TPI might be a good option for fuel mileage too. So you like the 250 a little more then the 300 for Mi trails? haha the 2020 YZ250FX has been on my radar too. I had a 14 and 16 YZ250f and liked them. Just liked the 2stroke feel and the KTM quality. Im struggling with the price of a new KTM TPI bike though.

Haven't had a chance to ride a 2020 yet. I've only ridden two 2019 XC-W TPIs. My concern is they were both stock and rode completely different. It seems like it's really a lottery what kind of behavior you'll get with the 2019s. I have heard the 2020s are more consistent but I haven't been able to see for myself yet.

ive been thinking about getting a tx300 i just want to know if it will have more power than the tc 250 mootocross bike

It's a completely different power delivery. The TX300 has super linear power and will have more grunt than the TC250. When you're on the pipe, the TC250 might feel like it has a little more power. It all depends on what you want to do with it.
