Hello guys. I am the owner of Veloster N living in S. Korea. I bought the car 3 months ago. You might wonder how good this car is. I must tell you... imagine. Whatever you expect, it will be better than that. I have experienced several pocket rockets and 2 liter performance cars. Nothing is in tie with V-N. Before I owned this car, frankly speaking, I had blamed Hyndai Motors a lot because of quality problems. Yes I live in Korea where HMC mainly targets, you know that. Except some minor issues like other Japanese motors, V-N will be an absolute game changer. I hope american buddies will enjoy this car like me. It is really nice.

Just an FYI, but you are wrong about the differential in the performance package car. It is a true mechanical limited slip differential that incorporates an electronically controlled vacuum pump that's able to vary the pressure to change the lock-up bias on the fly. It is not the same as a regular "e-diff" that just mimics a real differential like the focus ST.

Who is here to see Sofyan on the track wearing a helmet? Good job on the review and this car is still impressing me. I know interior isn't the best materials, but the overall features are good and $29k isn't bad at all. I'm still a Honda owner of many different models and my heart would still be with the Type R.

Great overview! I am really excited about this car. Hyundai really dominates sectors when they commit to them fully, and the N signifies that they want to dominate the hot hatch segment. Not only is the Veloster N going to offer a very capable vehicle for a reasonable price, but it's going to function as a reality check on the pricing of other cars in this segment.

@@wolvesdengaming4844 you think HP is all there's to cars? Type R is superior in almost anyway, and the gap is only about $5k. if your dealer charges $5k-$15k more over MSRP is because it sells. for starters, the civic is bigger, has better seats, great front breaks, has more hp, MUCH MUCH better resale value...i mean, the veloster looks like a decent hot hatch, but some people like to go wild and say it's better than the Type R, the golf R, etc. like... shit, most people will never drive any of those fucking cars anyway

Even if there was no cost difference I would take this over the Type R any day of the week. The fact that it is going to be much cheaper and doesn't look ridiculous, well, what more needs to be said. Hat's off to Hyundai! And Honda, pay attention this is what you were supposed to do and really missed the mark. This segment is supposed to be fun, affordable, practical, and reliable. Honda missed big time on the looks and affordability just to be a bit faster in this segment, and from what I have been seeing the reliability is not looking so great. Let's face it, for the same money I could go get a Camaro SS 1LE or a Mustang GT with PP2 and both of those cars are so far beyond the performance of the type R it would be embarrassing. So if you are driving around in a type R thinking you are in some ultimate performance machine, uh nope, not even close. So when you really look at why this segment exists the Hyundai gets it way better than Honda.
