2019 Ibanez S1070PBZ (Premium)/// Reviewing my son's Gear !!

Hello my absolutely awesome subs and passers by!!! Welcome and a sub would be cool too. Welcome to the review segment of my little channel. While I get the chance to review I love it. It's been a while since I've had gear to check out. I'm making the best of it. Not at all presented as professional as I'd prefer however I'm limited to a phone for camera and mic. Please bear with me 🐻

This guitar plays so nicely. It is true what some say that some feel as though they play themselves. Almost like power steering on a car to manual or rack and pinion. hahah. Anyway. All jokes aside. This thing is amazing. I know the video won't do it justice. If you are ever around one. Pick it up!!! Meanwhile while Roo makes noise having a fit I try to play it and film it!!!! Rob!!! Hello there!!!! Thank you so much !!!! This is my son's. I wish I could claim the s1070. It is amazing. He has a prestige as well and I'll be honest. This one feels better to me. It sounds amazing and the playability is insane. Keep in mind I'm playing on budget guitars like MIM strat and Chinese Classic Vibe 60s and Harley Benton Fusion T which are more middle range but the Ibanez S premium is stupid good in comparison. SO when I say it feels like it's a power steering over rack and pinion that's why. Hahah. Ibanez is my son's favorites. Now I want one. I had s370 during COVID I sold it. I'm so ashamed. Regret!!! Again thank you for your amazing support !!!

I've tried one of these or very similar in a shop here! They do play effortlessly, very smooth. Good taste in guitars! I love when there are so many woods, especially the neck is beautiful. :)

Dude. I had a killer s370 rrf. Eric c gave me. I got into a financial medical bind and had to get the money somehow. The guy was supposed to by the squier but got interested in the Ibanez. He would not buy the squier. So ...I feel so bad about it. Anyway I'll get another!!!! S series. Yours is amazing I'm sure!!!! This was a premium. Indonesian. Probably a lot like yours!!!

Looks and sounds great Rob! I hadn’t realized that the difference between Prestige and Premium was where they are made. For some reason I thought they were both Japanese and the Standard and Gio ranges were made elsewhere. Are you recording the sound differently to when you record a session? I don’t normally notice the direct string noise when you do volume swells, but I was hearing some on this video. I guess it makes sense as you are talking while playing.

i have no idea why they put stainless steel frets on this one but not the prestige, on that basis alone i would go for this one

You got that too?? Lol isn't it strange ? I suppose it's a purist thing over quality of frets between the two lines? I agree. This one also feels better to me than HIS 7 string. Which is maybe why I also like this one better. Lol

@@robertclarkguitar im a gigging guitarist, ss frets are a must for me, even a brand new guitar after a few months from gigging i have fret wear, my Ibanez AZ prestige i have gigged the hell out of for 3 years and there isnt so much as a blemish on them, but i have always loved the s type body, its so sleek, so combine that with the ss frets, i do like that guitar, the colour doesnt really do it for me, it looks like its got mould or something, but i could live with it

@@darkestfugue it is one of the best feeling I've played. I had an s370 rrf. It was from 2001. I miss it. Sold it. Sadly. Ibanez just like LTD makes some great feeling necks and guitars. I have a budget mid range Harley Benton Fusion T that is close and has SS frets. It's neck is insane for the price.

So are you saying he doesn’t lock at the nut and just uses the locking tuners ?

Yes. Insane isn't it? It's because he likes to be able to drop if needed to a other tuning. On the fly. Although he usually takes a couple to shows. I don't know how he does it lol. But he does. And seems he has no tuning issues. He does not use the FR though either. So that's probably key to know. I asked him why not buy HT? He likes the a trem feel and the ability to use if he ever decides to.

@@robertclarkguitar I have to try it! I was curious why this guitar had locking tuners and a FR, seems redundant but I guess if you don’t lock and possibly block it off you are at a hard tail pretty much. Thanks for reply and I loved the playing
