Matt S finding the exact match is always hard in modern motorcycles, but I would say the Aprilia dorsoduro is not that far from this, it is about 4K less expensive in 40 pounds lighter
@albertandrews1305 жыл бұрын
@@luisvaca1892 No, people do not understand. This is not simply a naked bike, it is based on and a sort of replica of the Indian flat track racer. No Aprila can do that.
@mattshaggs29315 жыл бұрын
@@luisvaca1892 I hadn't heard of that model...admittedly I'm a cruiser owner but I just like motorcycles...but my Aprilia knowledge is limited. Don't see many of them up here! Here's some nerd specs though... Cycle World found the Aprilia to be 485lbs wet and ready to ride and the FTR is 508lbs wet. But, let's take it at face value from the manufacturer numbers of 467 wet for the Aprilia. The Aprilia is 83hp at the wheel on Cycle World dyno and the FTR is 111hp on the same dyno. That means 5.62 hp/lb on the Aprilia and 4.57 hp/lb on the Indian. That's still a pretty significant difference. The price, yeah...the Indian is 4.5k more. You're getting cornering ABS, traction control, cruise control, ride modes and the dirt ability over the Aprilia with the Indian at that price, though. Again, a tough call...least for me. Seems like it was a jack of all trades approach...which means it won't do everything better than everything else...but living in Colorado, having something you could drill some corners with and also take some high dirt passes with would be pretty great...but I'd probably settle for the standard FTR that still has ABS for $13,500. I'd be hard pressed to make my Chieftain that versatile heh! In the end, I can read specs all freakin day but that's not gonna tell me if it talks to me..I'm just gonna have to go ride both!
