Man, not having a dig at Infiniti at all but they really just don't want us to like them. C'mon, this interior dashboard is outdated by what, a decade? They would receive much more positive feedback and would sell a lot more if they put an effort into making a modern interior dashboard. I'm sure they can conjure up an interior that is more pleasing to the eye, look at their cars for God's sake, it's just the interior dashboards that let them down. Look at Lexus, they have had generations of interior dashboards, constantly evolving for different models and looking better each time. Acura as well, look at the RDX. I feel like they need to revamp their whole interior/electronics design team at Infiniti, if they even have one at this present moment. C'mon Inifiniti, we want to like your brand.

Very nice vehicle, and great review. Id like to see this vehicle get Nissan’s Cummins 5.0 litre diesel V8 as an option. I dont care for the rear turn signals in the bumper cover. I think they will get dirty and may be vulnerable to being easily broken by a kick from some miscreant. Also, big trucks and buses need the signals on 4 wheelers to be in a higher, more easily viewable position. They ought to put LED rear fog and reverse lights in the bumper location. The reverse light positions in the tail lights are perfect for a bright LED amber turn signal. We definitely need these high end vehicles to be 100% LED lit, inside and out. I like the music yall play.

By the look of that interior and tech from 2009 the Cadillac Escalade has absolutely NOTHING to “watch out” for. The Japanese can borrow tech from GM like the rearview mirror camera all they want as they always do, but it won’t be enough to lure buyers from the Escalade family. This doesn’t exude the same level of class and luxury like the Cadillac Escalade does. The Caddy’s design is so ahead of its time, its aging so well it feels like it was just released. The Navigator was the closest thing to dethroning the Caddy but even that wasn’t quite enough. However, I would probably choose the Lincoln over this as well since it’s interior blows the one found in this QX80’ out of the park. It’s simply outdated and way too close to a Platinum Armada. I do love the exterior of this refresh on the QX80 but the Escalade is still the best looking truck in the segment and it’s not even close!!

The Patrol-roots of this Infiniti means that it has stout underpinnings and robust construction. However, the rest of the package is critically lacking. Sure, there is leather, wood, and suede, but the technology, design, switchgear, and yes, fuel/economy leave much to be desired, especially considering the fantastic Navigator Black Label can be had for the exact same money with a newer design, more power, more refinement, tech, etc. I do love the refreshed front end, and the seats have a great finish, but the total "luxury" package is critically lacking.

Beautiful truck for sure, but way past due for a full redesign. Infiniti is one of the slowest brands to refresh their models. Love the exterior. Nice luxury options, but dated interior electronics. This model drops in price by 50%, in a year. Buy a 2018, spend a couple of grand to fix all the electronic bells and whistles that are broken. 10 or 12 MPG, in my normal driving. It’s a Titan truck with a SUV, bolted on top. I loved the look of the Monogram version, Infiniti was showing as a concept. As I understand it, they are owned by Renault... it shows. A little more panache, than an Armada.
