Vettel has been a shell of his former self since Germany 2018. He has shown signs of his former greatness like in Germany this year but he isn’t the same. Dude got 9 wins in a row and Webber barely got on a podium. Seb has skills but for many reasons he can’t show them over the last year. I hope he can recover and go back to his great form.

Masterful, calm, professional drive from the front by LeClerc. HUGE! props to Ferrari's pit crew and strategy! They had to get a great stop and they did and they timed it just right. Also great move to go on the hard compound knowing the car is harsh on mediums. Exceptional tire management by Charles an keep Lewis at bay on faster mediums. Epic drive! Incredible tifosi! Happy for them for at least one victory knowing the season is likely lost for championships! Bad for Vettel... The car does not suit him. Seb likes front-end down-force for control and the SF19 has low DF at the front. But adapt or burn.. And hes burning down quickly...And hes super close to a race ban!!! The only driver close to a race ban due to penalties!

I would have given Bottas a B. He would have been on pole if Kimi's crash didn't happen. And in the race he was at no point significantly slower than Hamilton. The only gap between the Mercedes drivers formed only because Bottas extended his stint (finally showing some progress with tyre saving). I'm also pretty confident Bottas could have overtaken Hamilton even without Hamilton's mistake since Hamilton's tyres were that worn out from challenging Leclerc. In the end Bottas could have won the race (or atleast challenged for it) if he didn't do those 2 mistakes. All and all it was actually a pretty good weekend for Bottas but it still left something to improve on. That is a solid B in my mind.

Ed Bishop Bottas came third in qualifying but he was only 0,15 seconds away from Leclerc's pole time. During his lap Bottas drove his personal best in the first sector and he drove fastest in the second sector. However he had to slow down during the third sector because of Räikkönen's crash. According to the information given by Mercedes, Bottas lost 0,2 seconds of his possible lap time because of the yellow flags. This of course is pure speculation. But if Kimi didn't crash, Bottas could have been on pole.

PeRX dangerous driving is dangerous driving and we’re meant to prevent needless accidents from happening. The squeezing is bad enough but weaving under braking surely is a penalty and we shouldn’t wait till someone’s race is ruined or a crash happens cos what’s the point in penalising then, it’s not gonna unruin the race already ruined or fix the car that’s crashed. This black and white flag means each driver is allowed to drive dangerously at least once a race
@PeRRXX
@PeRRXX 4 жыл бұрын

@mainweezy
@mainweezy 4 жыл бұрын
PeRX people want the laws to be applied in the bigger picture, so considering a lot of external factors like battle for what position, team, race etc. I think they should be applied to the letter, these are the best drivers in the world and with the overtake assistance they have these days they have many moves to attack or defend without crossing the line. With the squeezing it’s easy just take the inside line and Lewis would’ve had to back out going into the corner or compromise his exit speed. I just want to see fair racing with no quarter given and we know it can be done as we’ve seen guys race side by side through several corners without touching or forcing people off or not leaving room as the rules state

Hope you can go back to the long reviews 😅 the rush lost me a little bit cause english is my second leguange and it was to fast for.me to get everything jeje, but anyway you are doing great love the reviews. I only have a different opinion on Sainz C, he was P6 when he went to the pitstop and it wasn't his mistake i thought a B was better after an excelent qualy and race till his team blew it.
@sergarlantyrell7847
@sergarlantyrell7847 4 жыл бұрын
You're saying Hamilton gets a B because he made a mistake yet Leclerc gets an A* when he locked up on EXACTLY THE SAME CORNER and had to run over, just he took the fast way and didn't get penalised as much. And it's worse than that, Hamilton did that on knackered tires, Leclerc just made a mistake under pressure but with good tires.

Only he knows but I think it's a combination of other interests (family), really tough teammate, pressure to win something at Ferrari before retirement and trying too hard without the right mindset as a result.

This is the thing I don't get, people complain that there's no overtaking anymore, but people are fine with defending that shoves the attacking car off the circuit or weaving around on the track to stop someone passing. "Racing" like that is what prevents overtaking. MAKE YOUR MIND UP!

Wait what? Vettel was the fastest guy in qualy, no doubt. Only being 1.5 tenths behind without slipstream at all is amazing. All the drivers say the slipstream gets you 3-5 tenths. His race was awful obviously, but how can you talk negatively about Sebs qualy, like seriously.

if he won spa he would have won monza, too easily. the problem with spa is that he tried to set the car for higher drag to suit his driving style better, but in doing so he wasn't as quick as Leclerc in Spa and then coming here without the edge of getting the tow first ruined his race and no matter the fact he tried a more low drag setup, that gave him speed in qualifying but ultimately crashed him in the race. So much unluck, I hope Ricciardo never takes into consideration going to Ferrari, only Ferrari Academy drivers should drive for Ferrari from now on, since they are much more used to the insane bullshit and unbalanced cars Ferrari loves to show up these days.
