This is probably the BEST RV camper I've seen to date. I LOVE the overhead (traditional) sleeping bed over the driver and passenger. The beautiful sofa/dining table that turns into a full bed and the side bed in the back is magnificent. That bathroom is fantastic and the overall design of this particular model is superb in my mind. I'm sold. I'll take 2.

Absolutely love that bathroom and especially the large shower. I’m in law enforcement and I’m 42 right now and will be retiring at 55. I’m selling my house and will travel the world for two years and then returning home to buy something like this so that I can travel the US. I’m a single female and so I don’t want to have a huge fifth wheel..I love who small this is while still giving me a large bathroom(this girl needs her large shower and primping area, lol

Finally there is a Sprinter based motorcoach made in the US that has a decent interior. Provided price point is attractive it can compete with Leisure vans. Jayco has done it's homework. Kudos. Can you have an optional inductive cooker and eliminate the gas cooker with the propane tank?

Super Impressive! Be interested to see when you post a price for it on website. Propane generator is a great idea not only for the reasons you state about it never getting gunked up but also because you will never smell the fumes when it's running and neither will anyone next to you. Interesting note: Jayco now sells more class Cs than Winnebago. Jayco has become the 2nd largest producer of Class Cs on the market. They just crept up thru the ranks the past few years.

Thank you for another great review. Does Jayco consider this motor-home to be a three season coach? How is the insulation and water line placement? Any maintenance issues on such a long slide? Jayco offers a two-year warranty. How do they respond to comparisons to other options with longer warranties? It may boil down to marketing differences, but it is an interesting factor.

The question confuses me a little as literally anything is three seasons. Service records from our store since this model went into production show no slide warranty claims. Regarding warranty comparison - can you rephrase? I'm not sure what you're looking to compare exactly.

I like that, just wish the table insert area into the dining area floor was flush with the floor. Would like to have the option of using the table, but a smooth floor area if I wanted to use that area as a sofa, because it looks like it would work well for that otherwise.

You cannot really do TRUE flush floor post mounts in a slide since it would penetrate thru the slide floor. On a rig like this with a step-up slide a free standing table of any variety runs the risk of getting nudged off the slide floor which would cause everything on the table to go flying. I think the best solution for what you're seeking would be pontoon style twist-lock floor mounts like those found in Open Range RVs we have here. Those are inexpensive parts we could easily get for you.

Jayco has gone back and forth on the privacy curtain. Some generations have a full roll down night shade/wall. Some seem to lack it. Either way -- it's an easy to thing to accomplish if not already present.

Normal interior height is 7ft. You'll lose a few inches into the shower, but even at 6'3" i have PLENTY of room in there. The privacy curtain was removed after poor consumer reception last year. Something could certainly be added, though.

It can be a spell for this prestige series. They run on production schedules, so we would need to find out when the next run of melbourne prestiges would be. Any RV has a *chance* for a leak. Proper maintenance and upkeep should eliminate any reasonable potential of a leak, however. Replacing a slide motor is something I would recommend leaving to a service center.

It would be, but something else will fail before that point essentially. Where the hitch attaches to the chassis cannot support that weight for example. So 3800 is the safe tow rating

Ah, gotcha. It seems the 15,250/11,030/4,220 are the standard, publicly quoted numbers for the MB 3500 chassis. Are you saying all MH's built on the 3500 chassis have a safe towing limit of 3,800 lbs? Just wondering. If so, you might be the only guy highlighting this fact. Thanks.

The paint scheme makes it look like a Leisure Travel Van. How would you rate Jayco’s quality since Thor has taken ownership? I know that buyout made a lot of people uneasy about Jayco’s quality under Thor. Great Vid too. Very informative.

I don't think people realize brands like Keystone are also a huge chunk of Thor and have been putting out REALLY strong service records the past few years. A brand's quality has nothing to do with their parent company, but rather their own internal management and processes. Rockwood, for instance, sets a Gold standard for Ultralites. They're technically part of Forest River, which also puts out some stuff you could easily say is kinda sketchy. But Rockwood is basically completely independent of Forest River. Jayco has nothing to do with Thor other than on the Profit and Loss statements the bean counters manage at the end of the year. Regarding their motor homes: I don't really know that they've been better. 4 Years ago I wasn't terribly impressed with the fit and finish. Each year they seem to get it dialed in a bit better. Nobody's perfect. But when I see regular progress and good factory support along the way, then I'm pretty happy.

How do you define a Class A or B Or C ??

Basically based on shape, though it really doesn't matter what class something is. There are enough options in motorhomes now that the old stereotypes of "The A's are always better than the C's" don't really apply anymore. General definitions: * Class A: The big bus style ones * Class B: A Conversion Van of some variety * Class C: Ones with a bunk over the cab like this. There are all sorts of RVs that blur those lines now, though. Some have the exterior shape of a class A, but have the exact same chassis as a Class C, there are B+ models, Super C's, etc. It's really a matter of determining the features you seek, finding what brands offer those, then comparing from there.

Not a privacy problem as the door-line is still plenty above your head. It's for general coach airflow and exhaust. If you have a full-fitted door and turn on the ceiling fan in the bathroom, then it's not going to do much. It needs to pull in new air to replace what it's exhausting. Benefit: Turn on the bath fan, then open a bedside or seat-side window for some excellent daytime airflow.

I've heard 18's from our previous clients, but have never personally verified. I'm sure that's only if NOT towing anything. Jayco does not offer seating variations at the factory level. It would need to be an aftermarket ite.

Better at what? They each are better in different ways. * Gas is less expensive and easier to maintain, but generally offers less power * Diesel is more expensive and requires more upkeep, but generally offers more power and a greater lifespan.

Google maps. It's a thing. You can google it even! lol People also no longer "Dial a Phone" or "roll down a window, " but we use the phrases. It's weird thinking how those two examples were outdated in my own lifetime. Another favorite: Pull out all the stops. USE: Giving something 110% effort! Origin: Pipe Organs. Pulling out the stops provided max air and volume. "The Real McCoy" USE: Means the real original deal ORIGIN: Control panels for trains. Early days of the patent office. McCoy company made a part. Others copied it. They advertised theirs as the "Real McCoy." Language is a really interesting facet of humanity. Social media is causing language to evolve at rates never before seen. I am only in my 30's and feel like my grandfather trying to understand people online today.
