Jayco likes giving both microwave and oven. Something you notice when you compare. Sink covers? Go buy a couple of Costco cutting boards, and get busy with a jigsaw or oscillating multi-tool. We made a second one because ours only came with a cover for the smaller sink, and extra prep space is nice. Our trailer has the bar at the door and a couple of stools, so you can delegate someone else to go over there for more prep area. That’s a nice looking coach, not loaded down with fluff and empty sparkle, and that tow rating is impressive.

I own one and wish I had a sofa instead of the dinette. Also, when the slide is in, there is no access to the closet. And, no solar. Don’t forget to let your audience know they need a wheel alignment ASAP. Somehow, the important info seems to be left out. I had to buy a spare tire, and why is there no rear stabilizer jacks when setting up camp.

Regarding that cabinet over the bed with the cable passthrough, I would have simply run another USB outlet panel inside the cabinet too. Seriously, that's a foot or two of cable (if that) and the cost of another outlet plate. Better yet, a 110 or 12v outlet with USB combo in that cabinet would make it a sweet charging cabinet. Heck, they could have used light fixtures with USB outlets built in instead of a separate USB outlet on the underside on only one side of the bed. I suppose it's possible those lights are on a 110 circuit while the USB is on a 12v circuit, but that just makes the argument for making them 12v lights. Missed opportunity in my opinion.

Weight distributing hitches are designed to keep full weight in your steer axle when towing, instead of letting the tongue weight mess with your handling. When the rear overhang is equal to the wheelbase, that tongue weight essentially gives you the amount of weight that is coming off the steer axle. One ton guys think it doesn’t matter, and they’re partly right. The short overhang on modern pickups means you really have to load the back to notice much change in the front, but if you scale it before and after, you might be surprised.

I really like this. I like the 10 pounds of sugar in a 5 pound bag. I was pleasantly surprised to find a dry bath, totally expected a wet bath due to the size. Speaking of the bath, I love love love how the door is properly fitted and framed! What does that say about the rest of their quality control? 🤔

Thanks! Two questions ... could a true queen bendy bed be substituted (as long as the bend is the same distance from the head edge of the mattress), and - could the tv be positioned on a swivel arm over the kitchen sink, with access to that storage behind it like in some models? One might loose a little storage that way, but even in bed you could see the tv ... 😊

Josh, I'm debating between 24B and SE 22AF. But the Schwintek slide on the huge 24B slide worries me (I've read of many issues). @Josh - Are you sure that the Solar will keep the batteries charged? I ask because in my '22 Alante 27A with the same 200 watt solar system it does NOT produce enough power to overcome the parasitic drain of the RV. Recent trip to TX and parked in direct sun the solar charger could NOT keep up with the stereo's drain. Jayco wired the 27A stereo (the one up front) so that it never actually turns off and just idling it will drain the coach batteries dead. Doesn't help that Jayco only provides a pair of 75A lead acid flooded batteries so there's no much capacity there.
@JoshtheRVNerd Жыл бұрын
If your disconnect is flipped, then yeah without question. If your battery is disconnected and your batteries are still draining, then something is wrong with your system. I've seen people use little 20w solar tenders to keep batteries topped off in storage. It doesn't take much if you're not using the RV.

It's nice to see you do a motorized RV. Nice RV. The 1st thing I noticed was the TV wasn't parked in the bunk. The ones I've seen have the worst placement, and there is no good way to watch it. The bunk looks like it has plenty of room, but there is no airflow unless you want the a/c on all the time. A small fan, similar to the ones in pop-up bunks, would be a good, cheap feature. I don't think you can drive it with the passenger seat reversed (you were talking about that, right? Not the driver being able to see the TV). I think you're unable to start the engine... I would love to see you review class B's. That is what I will likely purchase, it fits more in the way I want to travel.

As usual Josh, another great video. I am truly amazed at all the different types and brands that Bish’s carries. Is there anything that you do not 19:22 carry? Do you sell class A and Super C’s? I’ve never owned or camped in an RV before (only tent in my younger years). I’d like to rent first both a bumper pull and a class C a few times each to see if this is the lifestyle that I want to get into. Perhaps buy my first camper when I retire in less than 6 years. I’m under the understanding that only one of your stores offers a rental service, is that correct? If so, perhaps you could travel to that store and do a video on all the in’s and out’s and what to look for when renting? To me, the best way for the camper industry to get more people to buy and not make the multi-thousand dollar mistake of purchasing, would be to get people to rent first. If they like it then they would probably become buyers. Again, great job on the video Josh!

It's prepped for one. But, we have a few 2x10 and park on them for now. We are considering having the Schwintek replaced with the Vroom slide out system. Had three water leaks. seems to me a full size queen bendy bed could fit, especially if can be ordered with bend in different place, tv in a good spot really, driver seats ARE your theatre seats lol, dinette down in bed position would make a nice tv lounge as well, and a place to sleep if slide not out. i kinda hate tv in the bunk area on all of them, as is most common, near anything better than that. simple reason anyone sleeping up there could kick it very easily, plus is crappy viewing angle anyway from all seats... this is a much better place for tv, chances are if using dinette as dinette for dinner or such, tv wont be that involved anyway..

So, obviously, in that slide people can sit in the dinette area (hence the seat belts for when in motion) right!?! Essentially, this still gives you a good place to sit and eat and also sleep (dinette and up top) while in road mode. You can still do pretty much everything you need to do if you have to stop for a night or for eating/bathroom stops. Why can't this type of slide out be used in a towable RV? Thanks! I am not so edumacated (🤣) on the slide outs but this would seem to make more sense for campers. --Brent

It can be used in Towables. It’s a matter of weight and cost vs intention

@@JoshtheRVNerd Okay. Thanks Josh!! Do many manufacturers have slide outs that can be used when retracted? Seems like most are not recommended to use in that way.

Why can’t Jayco make the same small Class C without the slide?

They can they just don’t. Over the years their sales on no-slide models weren’t strong so now this is what they build

Can the slides (and murphy bed on certain models) easily be manually operated in case of equipment failure?
@vickiz6076 Жыл бұрын
I don’t understand people complaining about losing the bed in transit….you shouldn’t be using it when you’re driving anyway! That’s why they have the extra seatbelts! What is wrong with people!

My husband has had to pull over in a parking lot and nap on a longer trip. He works shift and just needed a break. We wouldn't put someone back there while going down the road.

People like it for stayovers - not in transit. Nice to have the option of not needing to open the slide for an overnight

Those V10's were about bulletproof. We had a pair of service trucks at my home store with those things for the longest time. The trucks got beat up badly but that engine just kept going. Only service we ever had to do with them was spin the filters and fuel it up lol

Do they make something that you can seatbelt 5 grandkids into when they go camping with us
@JoshtheRVNerd Жыл бұрын
Yeah a lot of jaycos are actually good for that. They include at least enough seat belts to meet their sleeping capacity if not more You may need to get into something slightly larger in size to fit everyone but several of their models will work
