Just rode my 2019 z900 off the lot today. Coming from a z125 I was a lil overwhelmed at first. It took some getting use too. I'm loving the torque. The engine roar sounds beautiful, it actually caught some peoples attention and they smiles. Plenty of fun. I lean forward a lil bit than expected, but not too bad.The seat wasn't bad. The mirrors suck, I wanted to break them off. Mirrors, levers, tail and ugly exhaust needs to go asap. The breaks are great. It has plenty of power that I need. Turning and maneuvering is beautiful, you really don't have to put any effort into it, it's like you think it and the bike just moves and turns in that direction for you lol. I can't wait get use to it and break it in. This will be my baby for a good while. I'm in love

I'M IN MY 40'S AND MY BACK IS GETTING DISCOMFORT FROM THE AGGESSIVE BENT OVER POSTURE OF MY GIXXER 1000 LOL. I'M REALLY LEANING TOWARDS A SPORT NAKED BECAUSE I WANT SPORTBIKE HANDLING AND SPEED WITHOUT THE HEAVY WEIGHT OF A CRUISER. @@2017Toy hi Danny yes the cb650 is more powerful 90 hp vs the Ninja 650 65 hp ,due to the fact it has an inline 4 engine vs the twin of the Kawasaki ,but that's not the whole story ,you'll get more low down power with the twin like punch , whereas the Honda will need to be revved more to get it's more power ,yes ultimately the cb650 is more powerful and revvy but if you're new to biking the Ninja 650 will more than impress you good luck with your choice mark

I've had a few rides on my mate's GSXS-1000F plus a test ride on the GSX-S750 and I probably preferred the 750. It had a nice smooth power with torque down below and just got quicker the more you revved it. The 1000 was just way too powerful for me, a total brute and wanted to go silly speeds if you gave it a handful.

I have the 2017 model. My only gripes about it are the stiff suspension (even at the softest setting) and the stock Dunlop tires (which tend to slide but at least they're replaceable). Other than that, its a wonderfully fun bike to ride! I am going to install an Annitori quick shifter on it soon. Oh, I also wish the rev limiter was a little higher. It climbs to redline too quickly.

Looks a nice bike and as you say fantastic value for £8,500. But they should have put TC on it with all that grunt. How much extra would that have cost them? Certainly possible. It's the only negative imho. Is there an options list or is the upgrade option to get a better spec like TC, quick shifter/blipper, modes and cruise control the Z1000? You've probably heard about it before, this bike doesn't have traction control AND DOESNT NEED IT. You are not giving credit to just how smooth this engine is. If you are going to be racing MotoGP I suppose you would need it to keep up but for the street..not necessary. Other bikes have it, such as the MT 09 but from all the reviews I've seen, the mt09 needs it due to snatchy throttle response. The z900 motor is a dream. The one negative about this bike is the OEM Dunflops are total shite. Shame on Kawasaki for using them.

i am a total bike newbie, newer drove anything above 50cc apart from driving school until last weekend. I had a Z 900 for the weekend for a road trip, drove nearly 700km with it, and my takes were (please keep in mind that i am a accomplished car racing driver who holds a regional license and regularly is on podium): * Very fun bike at low speeds, not so fun at 130kph or above (bad helmet, low front plexiglass added to this) * I absolutely hated the clutch assist, i had no feel on it and constantly had issues at low speed with it. Very fast to use at high speed upshifts tho * 125hp very fun at low speeds, enough grunt for that. above 120kph not so much. (see #1) * very easy to handle for a beginner like for me, decent feel when starting to lose front end grip while cornering. does not easily loose rear grip at all. * riding on a long trip at high way speeds there def was vibration * on dark the dash looks very nice, i only saw it on half dark dusk. when well lit not so much. * It was overally fun ride, and even the huge discomfort i had riding at highway speeds, the very first thing i can think of is "can i go again?" is very telling. It's super fun, even with the discomfort at highway speeds (bear in mind, non aerodynamic helmet, and low front plexiglass and i am quite large)

The S1000r is a beast if you want it but a great allrounder. Only 2 things I dont like on mine is the hero nobs on the pegs, they caught the top of my boots so removed them and the clutch lever is a real stretch although it has auto up and downs, changed for adjustable. The dynamic package with electronic suspension etc is great if you want to carry a pillion. S1000r is best naked at the moment if you have the cash. I also loved my 2016 MT09 for hooning around but S1000r with cruise control etc is great on short and long trips...

WEll done, Mark. A pity most of your video was filmed into the sun, which makes it less enjoyable than if you had the sun behind you. Just a general photographic tip for everyone. Not much is said about how to not get your bike stolen. I would be so scared to leave one like this outside for any long period, like over night. I also think Kawasaki should make the seat adjustable upwards for tall people.

That's why they replaced the z1000 with the z900 (technically it is a 948cc). I see complaints about them killing off the z1000 for this but it's a better bike and is faster, lighter, more powerful, and more nimble.

I do like this bike, smart looking and aggressive. I still think radial brakes and TC should have been included. GSX and MT both have them and are similar price. This airbox really had a rough and exciting tone. If you end up testing the GSX it needs to be revved high up like a 600 to get the same exciting rush of power.

The Z900 does not need traction control. Rode one recently and boy what a fun bike this is. The Z900 is considerably more potent and gruntier than the GSX 750S. If I was in the market to buy a sporty naked for this sought of money It would be between this and the superb Triumph 765 Street Triple R.

@markjohnson8276
@markjohnson8276 5 жыл бұрын
The MT09 has less power than the Z900. Z900 a better alrounder, test road both bikes. MT09 has a nice triple engine, but you feel like you are riding a supermoto and the suspension isn't the best once you really get going through the twistys. I bought the Z900, mates got a MT09, both accelerate about the same upto 70mph and then the Z900 starts to pull away a bit. Bigger engine and more horse power comes into play.
@jeffrt3893
@jeffrt3893 5 жыл бұрын
@@markjohnson8276 I disagree, in a way. The FZ-09/MT-09 has more power up front, meaning more immediate power/torque. I should know, I have 23,000 miles on mine. I have test ridden the 2019 Z900. Also, mine is a 2014 (1st gen = worst suspension), and when calibrated correctly (to Sport Bike Riders Magazine specs), the bike does wonders in the corners. FYI: I am not saying the Z900 is a bad bike, but everyone has their own taste. I have become fond of the immediate power and flickability of the FZ-09.
