2019 Kia e-Niro Review - Driven In South Korea! New Motoring

What better place to drive a new Kia than South Korea?! This is the all new 2019 Kia e-Niro, Kia's latest EV. A sister car to the Hyundai Kona, the e-Niro can manage 282 miles on a single charge and will hit 62mph in 7.5 seconds - not bad for an electric SUV? The e-Niro will do on sale in April 2019.

@@newmotoring yes. Because in 2021 the dutch government will give a 6k incentive cashback. Because in 2021 the full electric will pay roadtax..something that full ev were spared these years as a positive stimulance. So, a 38k Niro will cost 32k. And hopefully by 2021 the range will be 800km. So yess i see a future now in EV for a familyman. And i love it.

I enjoyed the new twist of driving it in South Korea and away from the military bases. I bet Koreans there are very proud of their Kias and Hyundais as they should be. I could purchase this car if it sells in the US prior to April. I need one now, but couldn’t wait four more months for one. Still, there’s much work to do to strengthen the EV grid throughout the US and other countries, but with this range, the anxiety ceases to exist. Since this isn’t an AWD, it’s weight is a plus in snow. More weight = better traction. Like my diesel wagon, which performs fantastic in snow. Plus, less probability for rollovers also. Overall, I like the specs. The styling not so much, but I’m a spec-driven person so it’s all good there. Nice review btw. I appreciate your delivery style-authentic and detailed about how the vehicles feel for you. I’m a strong feeler too when it comes to seating tests and driving in different cars. Thank you.

Niro has memory seats in Korea. Outside of Korea, it doesn't. Why??? Why would Kia remove that option?

Lawrence, i preordered mine and paid in full by wiring the money to my dealership! He says that i will have it between 4/06/19 and 4/14/19.

I put down a major deposit because kia is still not releasing the msrp but I was assured i would either get a small amount back or pay less than 500 dollars because of the unknown fet tax from Florida since I made the deposit in Brunswick Ga which was the closest Kia dealer!mikemurphykia.com is their website and if you are willing to pay and wait they will gladly take your deposit so you can get the car in April to June because i started to negotiate with mr. Murphy and his father the owner who was totally honest about the fact that this is a first launch EV edition so there's somehow the federal interference to make sure that this is a compliance ZEV and there are several inspections that this car will have as well as insurance companies inspections and i will even have the DMV DO ONE JUST LIKE THE COUNTY INSPECTOR APPROVED MY EV LEVEL 2 CHARGER FOR THE GARAGE AFTER I BOUGHT THE EV CHARGER AND THE SURGE ARRESTOR FOR THE HOUSE! ONCE I GOT ALL THIS DONE, I WENT TO MY BANK AND WIRED 40 GRAND TO THEM AS THE STARTING POINT!
