Get the radiator fan and install it yourself. It's really easy. The connection is already there in the stock wiring harness. Really keeps the temperature down. 2018 300 xc-w 6days. 👍🏼

May do that Andy, will see how I get on riding the enduro tracks and the Welsh trails for heat 👍

You don’t need a fan. Especially in the UK I’d imagine. I run my 250xc in the dessert and do a lot of 1st gear hard stuff with no issues. Not sure if tpi’s run hotter though. Run some really good coolant and you’re golden.

Thanks mate, they were cheap and easy to apply and protect the original panels from getting damaged 👍🏻

Those Chinese Ali parts are every bit as good as the ktm ones and ironically probably come from the exact same same Chinese factory. However I advise you to buy the 2017 xc model brake tip. Firstly it’s steel like the original which is harder wearing imo and secondly it’s a direct fit. For some reason the xc line and motorcross line come with a 1/3 larger brake tip when compared to the exc. they cost £10 and are a genuine part.
@GMANS_BIKES_CARS5 жыл бұрын
Cheers mate. Good advice, I think they have changed quite a few small things on the 2019 bikes as everything I order is supposed to fit and doesn’t 😬
@jameswhite007lurchio5 жыл бұрын
Well that brake tip is for a 2016 and earlier ktm, all of which had the flat base. In 2017 the design changed to the angled shape like your original. One bit of advice that I have learnt is not to trust the dealers on much. Sounds negative I know but unfortunately it’s just a job to a lot of them, not a passion so they don’t know the products as well as many end user. Join the Facebook pages ‘ktm group’ and ‘ktm Husqvarna tpi owners’ as there are a lot of knowledgeable people who can give you first hand advice. Of course there are also some less knowledgeable so you have to filter out the numpties. Good luck

Something I have always wondered about is the 5 hour servicing, I understand that the bike is a full on competition machine, so under full on racing I understand that the bike needs 5 hours servicing, but green laneing, really. When this bike is under race conditions it is pushed to the very max of all it capabilities, with no let up, this doesn't happen under green lane work or casual off road, so does it really need a service every 5 hours?
@GMANS_BIKES_CARS5 жыл бұрын
I’m just going by what the manual says and what the Dealer said too, the next oil change will not be until 20hrs, think it’s good to drop the oil at 5hrs as it was very dark looking as engine was brand new I guess, we are planning to do Atleast one proper enduro track every month so want to keep the bike in top working condition and I’m loving getting hands on with the bike as never done it before 👍

Will dog out some info and add it to the description, lots of enduro tracks can be hired for 1/2 or full day private riding, as we are new to it we didn’t want other riders flying by at top speed putting us off 😜

I don't need no tracks, it's My Wales 🤣, we have some amazing riding here in Taff Land, & it's all free.

I did the exact same thing re the rear brake pedal - I split my OE one on a rock so took the triangle bit off my previous bike and you’re right, they are angled down and it feels odd. What track are you guys thinking of hiring. Thanks for reminding me - I always forget to bleed my forks! P.S. I told you you’d forget the Honda 😉

G-MAN'S Bikes & Bits I’m going to take a guess it’s Ashby Moto Park then - I’ll keep an eye out. Just installed Tubliss on mine, you’re right about the high pressure chamber; mine went down after a few days without even riding it. First tubliss ride on Sunday!
@GMANS_BIKES_CARS5 жыл бұрын
That maybe the place, just want weather to stay nice then we will book it, it’s great being able to run your tyres at a low pressure as so much more grip!
@Mockle075 жыл бұрын
G-MAN'S Bikes & Bits I have been there once, great place; it has a real mix of almost MX-like track, an enduro section, as well an endurocross style bit with some (pretty tough) obstacles. 👍🏻 Yeah for sure, I made some pretty horendous pressure-based decisions on my first few rides last year! 😂 Two of my group have tubliss and I’ve tried it... it’s like cheating!

Hi mate from the south east and just wondering if I get a 125 I have no idea on rebuilds for two strokes or anything so would I have to go to a KTM dealership for a rebuild or just some mechanics who work on two strokes? Thanks mate, love your stuff - keep it up :) 👍🏼

If you want some words of advise from my experience, take your carbon pipe guard off mate. If you have a hard impact on you pipe with the carbon pipe guard on, it will completely miss shape your pipe and possibly break the manifold casting. Without the pipe guard, it will dent your pipe but it will blow out, and dented pipes look cool anyway 🤙🤘
@GMANS_BIKES_CARS5 жыл бұрын
I did hear that mate, I’ll perhaps take it off before we hit the trails in Wales 👍

It’s looking good. What is the plastic horrible tank that takes over the front of the bike Grant? Is that the fuel tank? Anything broke or playing up with it yet apart from the Fork chatter? Like I said before I never trust Ktm reliability- what issues you had? Yet that is buddy Apart from that looks spot on
@GMANS_BIKES_CARS5 жыл бұрын
Hi mate, think the plastic piece you mean is the fuel tank and having it transparent is great to see what fuel you have as no fuel gauge! No issues apart from the fork issue which I’m sure is nothing, Love the bike so far 👍
