In 2019, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman told Norah O'Donnell he took "full responsibility" for the murder of Jamal Khashoggi and denied direct involvement.
Today, a newly released U.S. intelligence report found MBS approved the operation "to capture or kill" Khashoggi.

60 Minutes, the most successful American television broadcast in history, is in its 53rd season. Offering hard-hitting investigative reports, interviews, feature segments and profiles of people in the news, the broadcast that began in 1968 is still a hit in 2020. 60 Minutes was the #1 program on Nielsen's weekly Top 10 six times last season and made the list nearly every week - usually in the top 5. The CBS News magazine still averages 10.5 million viewers - more than double the audience of its nearest network news magazine competitor and more than the most-watched daily network evening news broadcast.
About a million more people listen to the 60 Minutes radio simulcast in several major cities and on its companion podcast. Tens of thousands each week experience 60 Minutes online. The broadcast's segments can be watched at 60Minutes.com and the CBS All Access app. Its webcast, 60MinutesOvertime.com, offers content originally produced for the web only, including behind-the-scenes video about the production of 60 Minutes stories and timely archival segments.
60 Minutes has won every major broadcast award. Its 25 Peabody and nearly 160 Emmy awards are the most won by any single news program. It has also won 20 duPont Columbia University journalism awards. Other distinguished journalism honors won multiple times include the George Polk, RTDNA Edward R. Murrow, Investigative Reporters and Editors, RFK Journalism, Sigma Delta Chi and Gerald Loeb awards.
60 Minutes premiered on CBS September 24, 1968. Bill Owens is the program's executive producer. The correspondents and contributors of 60 Minutes are Sharyn Alfonsi, Anderson Cooper, John Dickerson, Norah O'Donnell, Scott Pelley, Lesley Stahl, Bill Whitaker, and L. Jon Wertheim.

That’s actually very noble of him to say that, as others in his place wouldn’t even come to the interview in the first place. You guys should understand why he got killed with a bit of research, and understand he was actually meant to be captured not killed, if you are smart you would search up what he did to betray his country, if you are not you would reply to this comment along the lines of “haha you are lying Im right and I know without any research” please do yourself a favour and learn about it

@@onlinegladiator5888 I've done the research. Possibly, far more than you have. Regardless, whoever's done the most research, him speaking critically of the Saudi government is not a crime worthy of death. If you actually did research, I'm sure you know that's all that he did. The fact that you're suggesting that what he did somehow justifies him being violently murdered and dismembered, if that is, in fact, what you're doing, is absolutely disgusting. Speaking critically about any government should never result in that individuals death.

"It's impossible that 3 million people could send their daily reports to the leader" - In other words, taking the _extraordinary_ action of executing a journalist (one known personally to MBS who he made no secret that he hated) inside the Saudi Arabian consulate is so commonplace and expected of them, that they need not get the go-ahead from leadership before taking action.

The Abu Ghraib prison scandal was an anomaly and a serious flaw in its management. But let us ask, does it mean that the US President or his defense minister is directly responsible for crimes in the criminal sense?"... "Of course not," but they are bearing the same moral responsibility that the Saudi state has assumed with all courage.

bro, the president has personally hated the Iraqis. No employee would have tortured them without approval of the president because it can harm the United States and himself. It would be high treason for the torturers in Abu Ghraib. Oh wait - it wouldn’t. Bush gave approval for human rights abuses right before the Iraq war when he passed the American Service Members Protection Act enacted in 2002, which was a bill that protected the U.S. military and U.S. government against criminal charges by the international criminal court by authorizing the use of force to extract any service member or official arrested and detained by the international criminal court. The next year, the Iraq war started and then Abu Ghraib. Where is Bush now and the people who voted for him and hated Iraqis just the same? No high treason for anyone. No taking of moral responsibility. People still seem to be proud of it or at least just ignore it
