2019 Mercedes-Benz V-Class first drive review

This is way better than the Mercedes 8 seater Viano. Looks very similar on the outside but this V Class is way better inside.

The GLS is a luxurious full size SUV, while this is a slower minivan usually used for vacations etc. The GLS has a way nicer interior is faster ofc.

Explain the engine choices in more depth.

it only gets a 2.0-liter diesel engine with various power outputs. There's the 220d he mentioned with 160-something hp, the 250d with 190 hp, and the 300d with 239 hp. It's the same engine block (1,950 cc, as opposed to the pre-facelift model that used the old 2,143 cc unit) but with different power levels (I assume the 239 hp version has two turbochargers, for instance).

Albert Einstein LM and Alphard will have no market in USA, they sell well in China because of cheaper chauffeur and the celebrity effect, which is quite stupid to pay 100 grand USD over stickers price at beginning

Mark Ling On top of China, Don’t forget to take into account the southeast Asia + japan. Very large markets with purchasing power. It’s alright if they don’t do well in the US and the EU. After all they have different cultures: Asians tend to stay as large family for longer - grandparents, parents and grandchildren. Whereas the westerners just move out as soon as they can, hence no need for large vans. SUVs will do!

Albert Einstein totally agree on the culture differences, but still... what part of Alphard that excel the Toyota Sienna so much, that they can have 50 grand USD price difference? Captain seat and nano air cleaner shouldn’t cost that much
