When I got my 2017 Mirage G4 SE it was $18,115.00 but I got it for $12,714.00 after $2,000.00 Mitsubishi rebate, $250.00 Loyalty and then over $3,000.00 in dealer discounts at Renn Kirby Mitsubishi.

When this car came out it didn't have one. Now it's obligatory in the US and Canada so they choose the cheapest way of sticking one there. Mitsubishi dealers are good about getting your price down? That's funny, just yesterday I checked out a 2018 ES hatchback at my local dealer and when I told the salesman I thought the $15,000+ window sticker was too high I was told "That's the price. We don't haggle". Then the sales manager came over and told me "We have the best prices of any dealer within 100 miles". So, people are walking into other Mitsubishi dealers and paying over MSRP for leftover Mirages? LOL! Tomorrow I'm going to the local Nissan dealer to check out the Versa.
@barryervin52975 жыл бұрын
@Domenic Marotta Where did you buy your Mirage? My local dealer has 10-12 2018 Mirages, they don't have any 2019s. All the other dealers have only 2019s now. I guess the local dealer doesn't want to order any new cars until they unload all the old ones for full sticker price? Good luck with that LOL! The sales manager actually seemed insulted when I said I'd buy one for $12,000. Actually I'm going to my next-closest Mitsubishi dealer this morning to check them out. They are about 25 miles away though. About the CVT, it seems to be a little known fact that Mitsubishi doesn't make their own CVT transmissions. They are made by JATCO, which is owned by Nissan and supplies transmissions to many car manufacturers. The CVT in the Mirage is essentially the same one that's in the Versa, so I don't know why it would be any more or less reliable, unless it just can't handle the tremendous 109 HP of the Versa engine?
@barryervin85365 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the info. I think for now I'm going to keep driving my 2009 Kia Rio but I may buy a Mirage within the next year. She laughed when I told her the local place wants full MSRP for 2018 leftovers. Glad you are enjoying your car.

@Domenic Marotta Funny thing is the CVT is the same Jatco that both Mitsubishi and Nissan use. The difference is the Mitsubishi programming is documented to have way less premature failures. Such a piece of shit LMAO. Consumer reports rated this 31/100. That's how shit this piece of junk is. Word for word: "Its rock-bottom sticker price and thrifty fuel economy of 37 mpg overall conjure an inviting image of an economical runabout. But that mirage quickly dissipates when driving this tiny, tinny car. Recent minor updates brought a sedan body style, a hint more power, and Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility, along with supposedly upgraded brakes. Yet those enhancements don't mask the weak, vibrating three-cylinder engine that delivers sluggish acceleration and a raspy chorus of lament, or the car's clumsy handling. Though it's relatively roomy, the depressing cabin feels drab, cheap, and insubstantial. In the end, there is no compelling reason to buy a Mirage, and, for the same price, there are many much better used cars available." - Consumer Reports 2019
