At this end of the ute spectrum, the new-look 2019 Mitsubishi Triton is very hard to go past. When you look at the simple equation of value for money, the numbers speak for themselves. When you add in a good basic interior, nice driveline and reasonable suspension set-up, you can see why the Triton is such a popular choice amongst the private ute market.

I think changing the wheels will improve some of the ride issues, I went from 16 inch to 17inch on my 2009 Triton and it feels like a different vehicle, my vehicle is more settled and stable. But tbh i would fit a rear diff lock also, but I personally dont know the cost of this and maybe if its expensive I would look at a Triton which has it standard.

You're cooked if you pay anywhere near $40K for a base model Triton dual cab ute. I'd take a demo model or low KM Ranger/BT-50 any day of the week for similar coin.
