Shinobi Legendario Sasuke Uchiha No the driver is a shame, I encourage you to do research online and look at all stock times. You will find that the two cars are pretty damn close and almost every car journal/magazine has said the SS wins in the 1/4 mile over the GT. Yes, after the 1/4 mile they all say the GT begins to pull because it’s DOHC and that’s a huge advantage for top end. But in this particular instance, if the same driver was in both, the Camaro should have won. This was definitely driver error.

I believe that both are great cars. I sold my 2017 Camaro 2SS 50th Anniversary Manual and purchased a 2019 Mustang 5.0 PP1 a year later. I have owned 3 Mustangs so far, one which was a 2015 Mustang 5.0 with Catastrophic engine failure at 800 miles. I guess that would put me in the Stang fan boy division purchasing another Mustang after Experiencing those kind of problems. Now to my point is that NEW age autos are almost always going to win a straight line race depending on the driver whether you like to hear that or not. But there’s just something about driving the back roads with the windows down, cutting the curves while having to choose the right gear for those that believe manuals suck. Like a few comments had already mentioned before, pick which car stands out to you and go for it. They’re both gonna have their own problems. One may have low oil pressure and the other shift forks problems. Ya just gotta except the problems that come with these cars because there will be. You may be lucky and get a 💎, who knows. There is a lot of things I’ve missed about the Camaro. But on another note , what in Da**** was Chevy thinking with the design of the new 2019 Camaro front end? 🤮 I’m Sure I will catch it from the Camaro guys on the last comment 😂

The Tenken LT ? I was saying LS. With a 15k budget for each motor, you will make 25% more power with the ls3 engine compared to The coyote- the comparisons results are around the net and I’ve mentioned that in other comments. The coyote motor will max out completely at around 1300 while the LS. Engines can manage 1700 if I’m not mistaken on the exact numbers. Once you see it, you will realize than it’s basically as much of a difference as comparing a big block to a small block.

I purchased a 2012 V6 Camaro in 2012 and I enjoyed it. Then I trade up to a 2014 2ss 5th generation and I enjoyed it. Then I traded in for a 6th generation 2017 Camaro ss1 because the two SS was too expensive for me. Now I just traded in my 2017 Camaro 1ss for a Mustang GT 2019 with sports package. I could not take the blind spots anymore in that Camaro. I think the problem because the Camaro didn't win it's because he can't see s*** out of it. I am now a Ford Mustang customer. Forward did a wonderful job on the visibility the power. And the luxury feel inside. The road it's much smoother now for me to drive.

So I’ve owned both cars. A 2017 Camaro SS and now a 2019 Mustang GT both auto (Yeah i know). Yes the mustang is faster for sure. However I actually prefer the driving experience of the Camaro much more than the Mustang.

I'm really surprised by that Camaro's runs. He/she was running 13.55. That's waaaaay slower than those cars should be. Not sure what his transmission is, maybe he's not shifting right. Those cars typically run more than a second faster than that-12.2-12.5 range. Shit, 13.5 is what a 2000 Camaro would run-that's TWO generations ago

i don't know about the new mustangs, but my 2011 mustang if you want to completely remove traction, you have to press it for 5 seconds and for sport mode press twice quickly, i find sport mode a lot better than none

I have a ‘17 Camaro SS. That Camaro is a 6 speed manual. The manual in the 6th gen is .4 second slower 0-60 and 1/4 mile than the auto. He also doesn’t know how to drive. My car does 12.5 second 1/4 mile on the street and it only has an CAI on it. I’ve outrun a dozen new Mustangs in the street with mine. The first Mustang has drag radials on it. It also has other work on it. That’s not the stock exhaust tone. The Camaro is full street tires. I had drag radials on mine for a little while. It does 12.1 1/4 mile with drag radials. I’ve owned 3 Mustangs. I’ve owned 3 Camaro’s. Mustang are less expensive to build but they don’t take the power as well. I would take my Camaros over my Mustangs any day.

Normally those mustangs run 11.8- 12.2 with autos. It's a decent time for a 6 speed. That Camaro did well for a 4 cylinder car though.

I drive a coyote F150 and love it but of I were to buy a car now I’d get the Camaro. It’s just cheaper and easier to get more power out of the pushrod V8. Endless head and cam combos for the Camaro.

I traded my 2016 5.0 Gt in for a 2018 camaro ss and thw difference was nuclear. The first time i had it on the highway and hit it i was going 100mph shifting into 2nd gear. I got to 150 mph on what felt like nano seconds. I'm no hater i love muscle cars and i genuinely thought my mustang was a beast but it had nothing on the camaro.... 2 year diff of yall want to throw that in there both standard. Oh yeah the srock clutching in the chevy was enviable it mays well not have even been there. This is my comparison of the 2 cars and id bet my saggy blue balls any day stock vs stock on the camaro and this is xoming from an owner of both. I love mustangs they are so fun and should be the first muscle car you teach your son how to drive because they handle so well. The oower is dispersed beautifully and the snap back will make anyone smile ,specially a 16 uear old young lad

I know this is a two month old post, but did you make a typo? It's literally impossible to hit 100mph in 1st or second and probably even 3rd gear in that car, and pretty much any factory production internal combustion engine with a 6 speed transmission. That car in particular, I also owned, and redlined it countless times in many gears.

William Felix Motor Trend weighed the cars themselves as they were and the Camaro weighed less. Road and Track also weighed the cars and got different weights, Camaro was still lighter. And for round three we have Car and Driver, who also had different weights and the Camaro was lighter there too.
