what are your thoughts on the 2020 spec fluid fs 1 compared to 2019, noticed suspension has changed

Great reviews about both bikes! If you have to choose one of them that you will always come back and ride again?
@trailtalkmtb66035 жыл бұрын
Has to be the Merida but I prefer the geo of the norco. The merida is just a bit more fun and the rear suspension is dialled! The full review of the norco will be out in the next week or so. So keep an eye out for that!

Is it possible for you to do a review of the Merida 120-800?
@elrad90203 жыл бұрын
Hi Trail Talk, I got a voucher for 99 bikes so looking at getting one of these bikes. What do you think of the 2021 versions? seems like the norco is still a fair bit heavier, merida a bit lighter and good for longer days instead of just hammering a downhill?

I can’t find the bb height of the 120, would you know the number? The higher the better! I’m trying to decide exactly between this two bikes!

I have a new fluid and put m6000 brakes on it the day i bought it, with 203 front rotor and 180 rear. Being I live in BC, i need a lot of stopping power.i also swap my rear cassette to 11-46.

Those are the best upgrades you could do! The brakes on all the models are a bit lacking. The bike really does want to go fast so you need some good brakes!

How’s the bike going 5 months on? I’m thinking I will get one so curious. Thanks!

Hey have you ever reviewed a Trek Remedy? I’d love to know your thoughts : )
@trailtalkmtb66035 жыл бұрын
I haven't reviewed a remedy but I have taken one for a spin and really enjoyed it. Nice playful bike that is really good in chucky more technical conditions and flowy jump trails. Not the most stable bike at speed but a good all rounder.

Hey Phil mate I love your videos I had a friend who wanted a beginner dual suspension bike but I couldn’t recommend any he was wanting to get either the ( giant stance 29 1) or the ( Merida 120 600) he was looking at the 2 and was wondering witch would be better for an all rounder but still best quality for money and if he would have to upgrade parts. Thanks heaps 👍🔥

Any chance you could review a Norco Optic? Thanks for the great reviews!
@trailtalkmtb66035 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching them! Unfortunately I wont be having an optic anytime soon (well until a new one comes out) but lucky for you I have ridden one a fair bit. Its definitely a bit more efficient than the fluid and pedals like its lighter than the merida. Bit more of an agile bike all round. Small bump sensitivity and compliance is better than the fluid but isn't as stable at speed. Its a really good trail bike if you like to put down a fair bit of miles. Its a bike you can have a fair bit of fun on. If prefer the xc side of the trail bike spectrum you cant go wrong with the optic, especially the carbon models.

CG the optic will have the same travel as the current sight next year with slacker geo. Sight will be a bit more travel next year too.

@thatktmrider96823 жыл бұрын
Is the Merida the same as the 2021 version?
@robnash843 жыл бұрын
I believe the geometry is pretty much the same, but different fork and rear shocks on the 2021 (Same travel though)
