You are a wealth of knowledge Jeff! I have finally finished skiing my twenty year old Volant Power Curves, wood core, stainless steel, talk about stiff and stable. They are special edition Audi stamped 190cm. Anybody interested in buying them contact me. Otherwise I just demoed the Enforcer 93 177cm in Sunshine, Banff, Alberta, amazing ski, trees, moguls, groomed, four inches of untracked powder, they do it all exceptionally well! I was so impressed I just ordered a pair of 2018 at 185cm, can hardly wait to try them next season. These skis are really meant for the aggressive intermediate but ideal for advance/expert ski level. Match them with Marker Griffon 13 bindings and you will be in heaven.

They're great skis! Also, somewhat unique in the sense that a pretty wide range of abilities can ski it and really enjoy it.

Great review. With one piece of advice, you brought me back to reality and convinced me to go with the 93 over the 100 or 110 ..."Buy the ski for the snow conditions that you ski, not for the snow conditions that you want to ski." That's the best advice I've gotten as an East Coast Skier. Thanks man!

I agree to 100%! I was so surprised of the excellence. Go for it. The 93’ works everywhere - also in powder! Tank you. Regards from a Swedisk skier in Verbier, Swizerland,

I just bought this skis and skied 2 days, I couldn't be happier, this is so far the best ski I have used, very stable in any conditions, and it is a carving machine without vibrations, I think I found the ski of my life. I am 174cm 75kg, skiing 177cm, my friend enforced me to go up to 177cm and I do not regret choosing it. I previously skid Rogi experience 84, and I tested bonafide.

Been waiting for you to review the E93 for a while! Thanks, Jeff. Demoed this ski in Austria couple weeks back. Awesome ski. Carved really well on hard pack groomer in the morning and then cut through really chopped up slush in the afternoon. Mid and long carving turns were really nice, and you are correct, can dial back with confidence when you need to slow. Have decided to get a pair - will size up to 185 from the 177 demo. Now figuring out which binding I should get. On your video is that a Marker 90 or 110 brake width?

Hello! Sorry for not replying sooner. The 90 mm Marker brakes fit just fine around the Enforcer 93. Enjoy!

Hi Jeff, Coming back to your recommendation for these Skis: went to my local shop where they recommended to take the longest - 193. As said I am 6'6", 220lbs, have ski'd 3 seasons, quite intessively (10-20days/season) but I am am absolute powder beginner (tried with carving skis, but sunk like the Titanic). The chap at the shop quite confidentally said I should take the longest possible and that I should be fine. What is your view on this and how I would perceive this length in the short as well as long run? Longest skis I've tried so far are the Kastle FX85HP 181 which I absolutely loved. Did some slushy offroading back in April and was quite fine.
@SkiEssentials6 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I can understand that. When you walk into a ski shop it's pretty easy for a shop employee to hand you a 193 cm and feel like it's the right length, but I honestly think the 185 cm is the better choice. Realistically you're still progressing a lot if you've only been on skis 30-60 days so far. That 193 cm is challenging to ski. We have some big guys on our staff who are very accomplished skiers and find it to be a bit much. And since you've skied the 181 cm FX 85 HP, and we know you like it, it's even more reason why I think 185 cm is the way to go. What do you think?
@Tautulis76 жыл бұрын
@@SkiEssentials Probably it would be the safer choice, especially considering the larger portion of potential buyers if I decide to sell them after a while.
@SkiEssentials6 жыл бұрын
Yup, that's another good reason,. 185 cm is an easy sell on the used-ski market, 193 cm not so much.

Hi Jeff! I’m an intermediate to advanced skier who will mainly be skiing Stowe/Killington and park city / squaw for the upcoming seasons. I’m about 6’2/6’3 and 72kg - what length would you recommend? I’m torn between the 177s and 185s. Cheers!

Hi Jeff! Thanks for your great videos! I am deciding between Enforcer 93 and Vantage 90 Ti 2020 for the East coast skiing. Which ones would be a better ski for the hard snow and icy conditions? I am 5’7” 150 lb intermediate-advanced skier. Thanks again!
@SkiEssentials5 жыл бұрын
They both do quite well in hard snow and icy conditions. What type of terrain do you like skiing most? Are you usually on groomed trails, or do you like to ski moguls, trees, etc too? If you're spending most of your time on trail, the Vantage 90 is a little more responsive, but if you're going off trail, even just from time to time, I think you'd appreciate the versatility of the Enforcer 93.
@olevib82955 жыл бұрын
Skiessentials.com thank you for your reply! I will have some mixed skiing, mostly groomers with some tree skiing, when conditions are favorable. No moguls for me for the most part.
@olevib82955 жыл бұрын
Skiessentials.com right now I ski on Dynastar Cham 87 as mine all mountain skis. For powder days I ski on Dynastar Cham 107. I feel that on very hard snow my Chams 87 are not gripping too well. Perhaps it’s due to a fairly long rocker at the tip as well as the shape of skis.
@SkiEssentials5 жыл бұрын
@@olevib8295 I'd go Enforcer 93. In my opinion, it's more of a well-rounded ski. If you're mixing in some trees, I think you'll appreciate having the Enforcer 93 over the Vantage. You'll get similar off-piste performance as your Cham 87, but much better edge grip.

Hi Jeff, I've just returned from the ski weekend and I am thinking about buying new skis. Last weekend I tried Dynastar Outland 87 (173 length) and it felt good to me. I really carved well with those but I didn't try them much in powder because we didn't have much of it. I never tried Enforcer 93 (I couldn't find it on my mountain) but it looks like a good ski for me. I ski most of the time on groomed terrain but I also like powder (although I have lot of space for improvement on powder technique). I am 174cm tall, so do you think I could get good use of Enforcer 93? Also, is it better to go for 169 or 177?

Thank you for the video. What skiis do you recommend for timid intermediate skiiers? Does the enforcer 93 offer flexibility in terms of turning? How easy is it to initiate and turn with the skiis?
@SkiEssentials5 жыл бұрын
The Enforcer 93 is a little heavy for a timid intermediate. Could it work? Sure, but it might not be best. For your other questions, however, it does allow for lots of different turn shapes and has relatively easy turn initiation, but it's still fairly heavy. What's your height and weight? For a lightweight timid intermediate, it's probably a bit much. I'd say the Rustler 9 would be a better choice or maybe an Elan Ripstick 96, but let me know your size and I'll give you my thoughts!

Is this a good choice for conditions where my qst 99 is too soft?
@SkiEssentials4 жыл бұрын
Yes, definitely. If you're finding the QST line a little too soft for certain conditions, you'll likely find the Enforcer line solves that problem. You're giving up a little bit of maneuverability and playfulness going from QSTs to Enforcers, but sounds like that's probably what you're after. I'd take a look at the new Salomon Stance skis too, they are designed to complement the QSTs and are similarly more powerful, more stable, etc as the Enforcers.

@@SkiEssentials Im 6,5 ft. Should I go for the 186cm Enforcer 88 or the 193cm Enforcer 93? Im thinking about to get the 88 to seperate it a little more from my qst 99, which i love! But im afraid 186cm might be a little short. Also I like to make short to medium turns and im afraid the 20,5 radius of the 193cm enforcer 93 might be too big.

Hi Jeff, thanks for your review. At the moment I've a Atomic Vantage 83 CTI wich is a nice ski, very powerfull on piste and the off piste performance is ok. I'm looking at the enforcer 93 now for 2 years now, because it sounds like a ski for me so can you mabey help me to figure it out? - I'm looking for a ski wich is more playfull than the 83 CTI - I'm a aggressive skier - I spend the most time on piste but want to step off more often - Looking for a maneuverable ski wich is also powerful if you want to push him - Maby do some tricks like backward driving or spinning if it is possible, but it is just a nice to have The enforcer sounds perfect to me because you can ski him very powerfull but he has enough rocker and flex to be playfull and has also the width to ski in deeper snow. Thanks for your help. Best regards Chris
@SkiEssentials6 жыл бұрын
Hi Chris! The Enforcer 93 should work really well for you. Pretty much checks all your boxes: - I'm looking for a ski wich is more playfull than the 83 CTI Yup, you're good there. The rocker profile and overall flex gives it a much more playful feel than the 83 CTI. - I'm a aggressive skier Good there too. Two sheets of metal, plenty of stability, pretty tough to push it past its limits. - I spend the most time on piste but want to step off more often Perfect! Enforcer 93 is a good choice. It likes that mix of terrain. - Looking for a maneuverable ski wich is also powerful if you want to push him Pretty much a spot-on description of the Enforcer 93, which is a big reason why it's so popular. - Maby do some tricks like backward driving or spinning if it is possible, but it is just a nice to have I wouldn't want to ski backwards on the Enforcer 93 at high speeds, that's for sure. It's not designed to be balanced for spinning and skiing switch, but it can definitely do some tricks here and there. It's just not a dedicated park ski, which you probably are aware of. It's fun. You can lay down aggressive turns, but you can also dial it back and just cruise without the ski beating you up. The Enforcer collection in general has an impressive mix of power, stability, and forgiveness that's almost unmatched. Hope that helps! SE

I've watched both this and the Rustler 9 review a few times through and I still really for the life of me can't decide. Any words of wisdom that may help? Also what size would you say for a 180cm, 70kg advanced skier who wants to ski literally a bit of everything, and enjoys charging as much as sitting back and messing around?
@SkiEssentials5 жыл бұрын
Enforcer 93 feels consistent from tip to tail. Rustler 9 almost feels like it has 2 personalities as it's fairly stiff underfoot with softer and lighter tips and tails. I'd also say the Rustler 9 feels more playful overall compared to the Enforcer 93. For length, probably 180 in the Rustler 9 or 177 in the Enforcer 93 would be best. You could bump up to the 185 in the Enforcer 93 if you're really charging, but I don't think you'd need to. I'd say the Enforcer is the slightly better carver, Rustler 9 is more playful and more maneuverable in soft snow. Hope that helps!
@Dheorl5 жыл бұрын
@@SkiEssentials Thanks for the reply. If you're able to, could you explain in what way I'd find the Rustler lacking in the carving department. I've only ever skied piste skis, currently a SpeedZone 12 which I ski everywhere from piste to bumps to powder, and don't fully understand what problems I may encounter trying to carve an all mountain ski.
@SkiEssentials5 жыл бұрын
@@Dheorl I wouldn't necessarily say the Rustler lacks significant carving performance, the Enforcer 93 is just a little bit better. With the increased rocker and lighter tips and tails on the Rustler, it doesn't have quite the edge grip as the Enforcer 93, but it's also not bad by any means. The Speedzone 12 has a flat tail, the Rustler 9 has quite a bit of rocker back there. So, if you're looking for a similar feel, mostly when exiting a turn, the Enforcer 93 would provide that better than the Rustler.

Joseph Motta definitely not a beginner ski and you’ll have a lot of trouble skiing it if you’re not edging your skis/skiing fairly aggressive. If you’re more on the intermediate side you might be able to get away with growing into these skis.

This vs the new M5 or ripstick 96? Hopefully I will have the chance to demo all of them for the 19/20 season
@SkiEssentials5 жыл бұрын
All great skis, to be honest. The Ripstick 96 is the lightest and softest flexing, but such a fun ski overall. The M5 is the more precise, mostly thanks to the lowest rise rocker. Enforcer 93 kind of falls between the two. More powerful than the Ripstick, not quite as precise as the M5, but more maneuverable and forgiving than that ski.
