I own a few Osprey bags, and now they're pretty much one of the only companies I'd consider when looking for a new backpack or bag. Yes, they're a bit more technical looking, but an outdoor-oriented company like Osprey knows how to make a functional, comfortable bag. I personally choose comfort over style. And I think the quality of materials along with their excellent warranty justifies the mid-range pricing.

The quasta (female version of quasar) is actually my edc and the axis is my sister's edc. We're in college and we really love how they've been holding up. I've been watching your videos for awhile now and it was cool to see you review backpacks that I'm extremely familiar with.

George, you made my night. I just got a Quasar pack and I was looking everywhere to understand what that tab at the top of the pack was for. You are the only one who could confirm that it was a hydration port. Now, If I can only figure out where the blinky light attachment is.... Cheers!

when i went to EMS to buy my Nebula 34(old version), they had to order it which would take about a week. impatience crept in because they had Quasars and Novas(great packs also)in stock. im glad i waited, because the Nebula came in a day and half later. the 24/7 series is the most versatile line by Osprey. One.

I love your reviews: details are great; ideas for storage and well presented. I always check your reviews for equipment; I just wish we could get all the things that you show, here in the UK. Thank you. One criticism I have regarding the Questa (women's version of the Quasar), is that I wish the compression strap covered the front pocket as well - it would slow down any thieves from accessing that pocket - I tend to keep valuables in the large zippered pocket inside the main section of the backpack.
@johnnyvvlog4 жыл бұрын
Just got the Quasar on sale half price for 39 euros which is about 45usd. Can't go wrong for that price! First impressions is that it's a big improvement in size compared to my previous daily backpach the Stratos 24. I'll still keep the Stratos for longer journeys because it has better straps and a concave open back. But because of that design you loose a lot of space especially if you also pack a laptop or tablet like I do a lot. For all normal everyday travel the Quasar is really the better choice and a probably one of the best daily backpacks around.

Loving your channel and reviews! Like you, I carried a NF Recon for my EDC for over 20 years and started looking for a new bag just because I was bored with it. I saw your vid on the Nebula and purchased it and for the most part, I love the bag for an EDC. I will say that I don't see how they claim it's 34 Liters. It actually seems to have less volume than the Recon did which is weird. Having said that, it's been suiting my needs so far. I've actually thought about doing a review on it because there are some things I have noticed with it that I would like to share with others. Keep up the great work! :)

im torn between quasar and borealis and finally decided to get the osprey yesterday because it was on sale. no regrets whatsoever. maybe the minor gripe i have on the quasar is the external pull chord of the zipper can be removed easily. i would have preferred the traditional metal pull where i can safely padlock the zippers together especially during travels. i wonder if maybe for whatever unimaginable reason we lost that pull chord, do they sell replacements or is it possible to replace it with the metal one? overall i'm happy i chose this over the heavier borealis plus the price is unbeatable.

My earlier model Axis (black) is different in several ways. Osprey perhaps has done some cost-cutting with the latest version? But the basic platform and size is unchanged, and that's a good thing.

Thanks for your reviews! I am currently looking for a very versatile backpack that could work both for everyday usage and for hiking. Actually, I wouldn’t mind it to be more for the outdoors in term of style and technical characteristics. But I am from Italy and a lot of brands you reviewed are not available here. For this reason, I am now indecisive between Osprey and TNF. I really like the new Surge and Borealis (I would prefer 30L or slightly more capacity) but they’re quite heavy and not the most comfortable backpacks especially when compared to Ospreys’ ones. From Osprey I like the Nova / Tropos and of course the Axis (although it’s smaller than what I’d like). Do you have any suggestions? Pls helpppp

Hi, George, I have a question, please if you know the answer, that would be great, I am considering a north face recon, as a student, however I will be carrying a laptop, I also would like to use this as an all-rounder travel/university backpack.
