I've bowled on this pattern before. Very high scoring. Ball speed is key and so is your angle of attack. I played the 4 board with the Storm Pitch Black and kept the speed around 18 mph. Averaged 235. Played board 25 with the Motiv Venom Shock and averaged 249. Fast, high scoring pattern but it breaks down quickly due the lack of oil after 35 feet. If you play the wrong angle or your speed is off just a bit, your ball will go FLYING towards the 7 pin.

This is the reason a lot of players quit bowling at a young age. These pins must be brand new i.e. they should have at least one thousand lines before used on leagues or tournaments. . . anyone that has been in the bowling business should know this!!!
@stompingpeak20433 жыл бұрын
It's just the pit. If the walls are closer less 10s and 7s happen. Also its really upto the bowler to hit flush or light so new/old pins means Jack when it comes to the leave. It can be a pin with no bottom and they would've left it cause the balls wernt hitting right

McNeil scratching his head wondering why he's having bad carry. How about stop throwing the ball so far outside. That's what Sherman was doing then instead of going to the 2 or 3 board he was throwing it more at the 5 or 4 board. If that doesn't work go to you're idol solid and move right SIMPLE. I feel like some of the pros think too much about the shot and the shot be right up under there nose. One thing a pro staffer told me. One thing that seperate you from you're opponent is the right adjustments you make SIMPLE.
@TK-ho7zb5 жыл бұрын
Yep. If you're not taking out the corner pins change balls and/or your angle. If you're a rev dominate player you have to increase your speed, especially on this short pattern. Too many revs with a slow speed will cause your ball to lose energy towards the pins leading to little carry.

Too many bowlers don't know how to bowl on bone dry lanes!!! U don't need high revs when they are bone dry. If you throw it to the gutter early it will still come back. Whenever I bowl league the high average high rev bowlers start the first game with HIGH scores and the last game they shoot like 120. My ball is drilled to go long and I LOVE dry lanes.
@Ironfangzu5 жыл бұрын
What you experienced in your league has almost nothing to do with what these pros are facing here. These are not 'bone dry" lanes. The Cheetah pattern forces the bowlers to play a particular line with a very, very slight margin for error. You saw how many balls these pros were able to put into the pocket flush, but despite that they often did not carry the corner pins. If it were just a house pattern with relative dry oil conditions, I guarantee that each one of these pros here could shoot 250+ easily because they know how to choose the right equipment and find the shots that would crush the pocket.
@KO-OG-Passport-Bro-19975 жыл бұрын
@@Ironfangzu I know it's not a house pattern..but dry lanes are dry lanes..and any bowler knows if you throw the ball harder on dry lanes, the ball hooks harder!!! These bowlers didn't know how to flatten their hands out!!! I'm not a rookie to bowling and have bowled on many sports conditions my friend! They kept throwing the SAME and not adjusting!
@jacewelsh85375 жыл бұрын
pipimp100 cheetah isn’t dry. It’s short. Short is not dry. Cheetah is a flat pattern. You probably don’t know what that means.
@jacewelsh85375 жыл бұрын
pipimp100 these bowlers know more than you ever will. You average a 110 I bet. I guarantee if you were on this telecast you would’ve gotten a 70 game.
@jacewelsh85375 жыл бұрын
And remember they went through a lot of qualifying. All of them over a 230 average on this pattern. They know how to bowl on this pattern. Those lanes were playing insanely different than what was expected because they did qualifying in a different bay.
