4:10 actually column mounted shift paddles are made for racing and driving on a track, so you know where the pedals are when cornering actively. Column mounted paddles are used on Ferrari, Lamborhini, Alfa Romeo, Maserati and other sport cars. Problem with Peugeot might be that they are too small and not so responsive maybe

I have the 2016 508 gt line 1,6T. I use it until now about a year and a few months. It’s amazing car with good quality. But i don’t like some thing in this car. Espically the engine. Most of ttime i feel the engine is weak Or not enough for the car. Espically in heavy traffic and traffic light. In launch the engine struggle to move the car. Unfortunately in my country the dealership order only this engine.. Also the A Pilar is very thick. Make me feel blind some time. Espically in u turns and some twisty roads.. and the paddel shifter it should be in steering wheel to be easy use in every time when you turn the steering. Anyway. Thanks for the video.

I'm driving a 2017 3008 and i'm suprised by the fact you say you touch all kinds of buttons on the wheel. I've never had any problems with that and it shares exactly the same wheel as the new 508. I should say you should hold the wheel a bit higher. There are specific hand grips. Holding the wheel there gives a whole other level of control. I do like the premium brands like Volvo, Audi, BMW but i'm completely spoiled by that small wheel. The 3008 will be gone next year. Maybe we'll order the 508SW 225 EAT8.

The fuel consumption is supposed to be 5.6 l/100km, after testing the result fuel consumption is 13.1l/100km the reason is obvious which is driving at high speed.

It's looks in this video like that. In real, we drove at high speed (high acceleration) just in 5-6 km distance during the test.

even if only doing so for 5-6km, with a french driving license... you'll be instantly losing it if you'd get caught :) That being said, really nice test, thanks for this video, this car is indeed really tempting. If I understand well, your criticism about the small wheel is that you can easily accidentally touch buttons on it?

Но он удобен в ежедневном пользовании, в городе. По крайней мере откатал более 5 тыс. на 3008-м и претензий к маленькому рулю особых не было. Спасибо за коммент!

Nice car And interesting review. However, do you need to go as fast as 150 km/h on a twisty mountain road? Thats just plain stupid... no wonder you average 13.1 l / 100 km...

Sorry for "intruding", but I would like to give my 2 cents on this. If you want a Mondeo with an Ecoboost, just don't. It has many build quality issues and it just doesn't feel like a solid car. Also avoid the 1.5 Ecoboost with a manual transmission in general. It has this stupid anti stall feature that CANNOT BE TURNED OFF. It gives it too much throttle when not needed and it ends up being very jerky. I haven't driven the 508, but if it's similar to the 308 and the 3008 (both of which I have driven), it's simply better.

For me personally - Ecoboost, if we are talking about engine. Ford still bilds by engineers. But Mondeo is 3 years old model and 508 is new, more comfortable (this days I'm driving sedan Mondeo 2.5 Ecoboost 199hp for a week), with good looking exterior and interesting and high quality interior, and for me 508 is better for daily driving (I think so)..

Vadim Ovsiankin I watch a lot of review videos in my country.And every reviewer says that mondeo is the best in its class in terms of suspension comfort.Even better than some of premium German rivals like Mercedes c and bmw 3 classes. I am a person that is obsessed with suspension comfort.So my first priority is this Mr Vadim.Thanks for your reply.

Yes, Ford has the best chassis ever, no questions, but I like i-cockpit for my comfort. It's funny thinks- yesterday I drove new Focus Vignale with Ford of Europe chief-designer Amko Leenarts and I said him about my 508 impressions and he asked me: Do you know whose idea (i -cockpit) it was? My!

Moreira Da Lima The same "epic fail" would say many others (I can say experienced majority) if the paddles were attached to the wheel ... In very sharp corners when you need to turn the wheel more then once, one could get easily lost suddenly not knowing which paddle is up/down shift with such rotated wheel ... With paddles attached to the steering column you don't have such problem ... just learn to hold the wheel with one hand and downshift with the other one. Paddles on the steering column is by experience deffo a better solution.

Ok, then watch tests when they drive 50 kmph everywhere while talking about emissions. That's surely more informative than actually testing the car, isn't it?

As I wrote before - It's looks like that in this video. In real, I drove the car at high speed (high acceleration) just in 5-6 km distance only. And I doing this in every test, sometimes on the same part of road and I never to do it at the speed limit. Just to feel the car and to tell (and to show) you about that. Thanks for comment!

Kolt I am waiting for the pilgrims in hybrid. Hopefully the combined power of the battery and petrol engine will be a good combination and mated to a 4wd system

Czech Unicorn 7.3 seconds to 100 is not too bad.. Top speed is 250 km/h so the gearing seems to be a bit longer.

STOP MAKING THIS SHITTY THP ENGINE!! Worst engine ever, full of problems, carbon build up, timing chain failures, water thermostat, just to name few. They last only 40.000 km

superb have boot volume from 584 to 1719 litres, how is it less???

Thanks! We deleted that, but it's still there. A boot volume is from 487 to 1 537 l, it's more than on Mondeo and less than in Superb.
