Did you use your factory rims and did they seat 26x8x14/26x10x14’s ?
@RideTheEarthnow Жыл бұрын
Yes factory rims and no issues with them at all. Years of hard riding and no issues. 👍

Also my buddy has a 2018 850 non eps with the factory black steel wheels same tires same size input on and he hasn't had any issues either.

You’re absolutely correct I have a 2019 1000 I had the big 25 gallon box on there you have to take those handles off the side to put the box on with the lock and ride I sold it I don’t know what Polaris was thinking either you can’t even access that they should make the box go on top of those handles that had to be removed to put the box on their box you’re right boss

The ODI grips are by far better than the stock grips. Only regret I have was that I didn’t buy them sooner. Have the same machine but in grey. Love it!
@RideTheEarthnow4 жыл бұрын
Awesome and I agree! Also that grey is a slick color.

My friend has an XP1000. Compared to my 850SP, the XP1000 feels a lot more sluggish. The 1000 definitely has more torque down low, but the throttle response isn't as snappy as on my 850. The 850 just feels more nimble on smooth areas, whereas the 1000 excels on rocks and in mud.

Nice ride, I ordered a new 2020 850 camo w/power steering, arriving on sep 14th. But anyway, I was wondering where you purchased that rear storage bag for the rear compartment? I would really like one but I cannot find any place that sells that. Any help would be appreciated!
@Goondock3334 жыл бұрын
nice you will enjoy! I got the bag from Polaris, I have the link in the description but now when I click on it, it doesn't go anywhere. Looks like they dont sell it anymore. I will sell you mine for a good price, I dont use it anymore because I have a bag on the back. shoot me an email and we can work it out. goonie33@gmail.com

You should do the rvs performance tune. It’s like another 10 crank horsepower and also the fan kicks on at 185 degrees instead of 200. So basically more power and more cooling. I’ve done their tunes on multiple Polaris machines and their tunes are well worth the money. That tune would put you right with a 1000 or if not better.

I’ve got a 2017 Canam Outlander XT-P 1000R that I am thinking about downsizing. I had a 2007 Outlander 800 and I should have stayed with that engine class. I was thinking about jumping ship to the Polaris but there a few things I do not like about this machine. 1) That rear storage compartment is awful. I currently run a Rotopax fuel can on my machine and it would render that storage compartment useless. 2) The front storage compartment.... if it will hold a 2 litre bottle of water, great! If not, I’d need to add a box on the front which renders that storage area useless and would block that headlight pod. I currently have a low profile box on my Canam which hauls a ton of stuff. 3) I hate how inconvenient it is to change a CVT belt on a polaris. Last time I looked at one... the rear wheel had to be removed just to get to it. Has that changed in recent years?
@RideTheEarthnow4 жыл бұрын
Yes you still need to remove the rear wheel to get to the belt. It is a bit of a pain but only really when you have to do a trail fix. Yes i totally agree the placement/function of the rear storage compartment is a waste. I am installing a rear bag on the back of mine actually today and that will render that pocket useless. Such a bad oversight. the front pocket not sure it will fit a 2 liter bottle. it would be close. Split that 2 liters up into a couple containers then there ya go ha. Those things aside I really love the machine. But i am sure a can am would work well too, i can't really compare because I haven't owned one. I almost bought the outlander 850 but the sportsman was thousands less, and i have had good experiences with other Polaris machines. Good luck in your decision sorry for my late response. What did you end up getting?
@beri2324 жыл бұрын
@@RideTheEarthnow I held onto my Canam Outlander XT-P 1000R. There hasn't been another ATV yet that I would trade it for. If Yamaha came out with an 800 or larger twin.... I would trade my Canam in a heartbeat. I love the build quality of the Yamaha's..... I cannot say the same about my Canam.
