I just got the Mopar kit for my 2023 Rebel and the power and ground wires are integrated into the connectors so it has gotten easier. You still need to connect to pin 45.

Thank you for the videos. Is this compatible with 2024 models?
@Infotainment_nav9 ай бұрын
No not yet. It has not been tested for a 2024 Ram yet. Use this link to stay updated for when that releases. forms.zohopublic.com/infotainmentcom/form/ProductInterestListForm/formperma/m7R2exajUQkfs2WJO8mkDzUcYC2HIt5WrUWxFICnigs

Doesnt this wireless charger come already installed on the truck? At least on some models?

Yes this is available with certain trim packages, but not lower level trim packages.

@@Infotainment_nav not sure what it’s called but the one I’m buying has the larger screen, it’s a 2020 Lariat 2500, I don’t recall if it has or does not have it but would assume it does
@Infotainment_nav2 жыл бұрын
Did you mean Laramie? Ram doesn't make the Lariat, that's a Ford trim package. If you're talking about the Laramie, then the wireless charger may be included. With supply chain issues, it may or may not be included. Manufacturers have had to ship out vehicles without certain electronic features due to the chip shortage. Or if you wanted, you could buy the Tradesman and upgrade with our factory features and save about $10K and end up with the same vehicle.

Why does a bypass need to be done for a wireless charger
@Infotainment_nav2 жыл бұрын
There are actually two great questions here. The bypass allows you to program the vehicle. Ram designed it this way to prevent newer vehicles from being hacked. The second question here is to the reason programming is required. The system needs to know when to send power and not send power to the charger. For instance, when the key is turned to the on position, the charger should be getting power. If you open the door with the car off while in accessory mode, power to the charger will be shut off. It's important to note this isn't hacking. It's actually only changing settings so that the vehicle now knows that it has the wireless charger. The programming code that actually runs the process, already existed within the vehicle when the manufacturer shipped it to the dealer/buyer.

@@Infotainment_nav couldn't you wire it to a constant and a switched power so it's only one when the vehicle is on. Wouldn't that bypass the need for a program of the dealer code? Like a remote wire for amps or switched ignition wire for radios

Is there a separate part number for the 2022 Laramie G/T version? The G/T has the center gear shifter similar to the TRX

We use the same ones.

You forgot to mention that all the doors must be closed, and the truck has to be running for the wireless charger to work.
