I wonder if you reset your car with obd 2 scanner ? I was told it’s necessary to reset the car after we clean throttle body

I thought you couldn’t manually open a electronic throttle body ? I could definitely be wrong I just remember hearing that

That was a common belief when electric throttle bodies were new to cars. Now (not every car) alot of vehicles can be opened manually and cleaned. With the key off.

Every mechanic I know or had service done with has told me non electrical you can, if it's electrical you can or will disrupt the memory in the electrical housing module. Don't take the chance.
