I drive the driver side rear tire up on a ramp to drain all the fluid out. Then roll down off the ramp to refill the diff.

I do this without a pump, for filling the transmission even. Just get the funnel above the fill hole with a long piece of tube. Gravity will do the work. Just be more careful about over filling / wasting the expensive oil.

Those quart and gallon bottle hand pumps always leave the last 1/8 of the container undrained. Does the manufacturer not know how deep these bottles are? There are only a few billion examples around the world to measure. They are pretty standardized. Even so, they should quit cheaping out and just put an extra 1/2" of tubing on them already! Anyway, super annoying, especially if you're using the OEM MB fluid, which is like liquid gold. So, my recommendation is get a pressure vessel style pump instead. The nicer ones come with an air inlet valve so that you can hook up a compressor and have no pumping at all to get up to a pressure of ~20-25 PSI. The cheaper ones, like the Home Depot HDX 2 gal. garden sprayer, must be hand pumped, but also work ok even for this higher viscosity lubricant in my experience. It's really great with ATF, which is less viscous. Any fluid that you need to flush, or fill against gravity, basically, that's your tool, and it's about the same price as the bottle pumps, ~$18. Heating the oil a bit first helps with pumping, regardless of which tool you use. Just set it out in the sun on a warm day for an hour or two before you get to work or in your warm engine compartment if you're in a hurry. The plastic "wand" portion of the sprayer comes off and then you just pressure fit 3/8" clear vinyl tubing onto it a bit distal to the trigger, which serves as a nice on/off valve without an extra plumbing dept. ball valve purchase. Try it. I think you'll like it and it's faster, cleaner and much more versatile than a bottle pump with no bottle changes needed for filling larger reservoirs. You won't have any craziness like you see at the end of this video where he has to bust out a funnel and try to gravity fill that last bit of oil that his bottle pump left stranded. That maneuver won't even work in many differential, transfer case and transmission refill situations due to the cramped quarters and parts designs involved.

What is the service interval for replacing diff oil? How much money do you save by DIY?

The manual says 120k miles / 192k km ; A lot, just for an oil change they quoted me $581 ; it cost me $220 with oil and filter and about 45 mins of my time, totally worth it.

Take more than 2 liters, 2.2 to 2.8 liters is the correct amount.

Why you changing the diff oil on a 2019 vehicle, the manufacturer says the rear diff oil will last the life of the vehicle? In my experience though I’d recommend every 100k.

Why do the manufacturers make spare parts such as every major component? They will gladly separate your money from you to replace the malfunctioned or damaged ones. Lifetime fluids? No way, Jose.

Do you notice they do not put "Life Time Warranty", So if the item dies in 120,000 or 500,000 or what ever miles it has reached it's life time. It's a BS term to make you think it will last forever. As long as it reaches the warranty limit then try and tell a manufacture it's "life time". Manufacture to you "IT DID" I change my diff oil / lube at 60,000.
