It's wild how the NFL, NBA, and MLB have huge marketing than professional hockey, and the postseasons in those sports are nothing like the hockey playoffs.

i've seen hundreds and hundreds of hockey games, and i have to say, this HAS to be the greatest game I've ever seen. It was 3-0 and about 10 min left, i was just ready to turn it off, or just waiting for the game to end, so they shake hands, was gonna write it off as another sharks season, team too talented to be eliminated so early in the playoffs, then i saw the 5 min major, and just thought, ehhh im sure maybe they'll score 1 or 2 goals but still lose, but they scored one goal, 2 goals, 3 goals, then the 4th, i couldn't believe it. Then they win the OT, it was the most incredible game i've ever seen.

Let me add to this. This series was the best I've ever seen. These two teams went to war. It was physical, emotional, heart pounding, absolutely stressful. You don't even need to be a fan of hockey to realize that this was an incredible series, maybe one of the greatest in recent history. It was a series with a SC Final atmosphere, and it was only the 1st round. Absolutely amazing.

I will never understand why the NHL chose the 2013 Game 7 with Boston - Toronto over this one as the best Game 7 of the decade. This Game 7 was absolutely insane. Down 3-1 in the series, down 3-0 in the 3rd, 0-4 on the Powerplay prior to the Major. Captain goes down, an absolutely unbelievable 4 goals in 4 minutes 10 seconds, Golden Knights send it to OT, and Goodrow sends the Sharks on the way to the 2nd round. I'm sorry, but the Bruins-Maple Leafs Game 7 is not even close to this one. Not saying it wasn't good, of course it was insane, but this game, this series was an absolute pleasure to watch, and you were on your toes the entire way through the end of that 3rd period, and OT. I know some will say it's because of that bad call, in which is was a bad call. Should've never happened, but bad calls happen all the time. Going 4/4 on a 5 minute Power Play doesn't happen often, especially in a game 7 of a playoff series.

lol, this call was so bad, it triggered a rule change to prevent it from happening again. It's directly stated in the NHL rationale for the change. They literally admitted to how bad the call was.

@@RabidCowmonkey I didn’t say it wasn’t a bad call. It was a bad call, but I would say giving up 4 power play goals on that penalty was worse, especially when prior to the major, the Sharks couldn’t get anything going on the power play. They were 0/4 prior to Eakin’s Major. Vegas’s PK simply collapsed at the worst possible time. Sharks could’ve not scored a single goal and they’d be scolded for not taking advantage. This is pretty much a case of damned if you do, damned if you don’t. 🤷

I love this new rivalry with the Sharks and Golden Knights. This series is probably the key reason. The intensity, the physicality, the emotions with these two teams. You couldn't have asked for a better start to a playoffs. This is why hockey is the greatest game in the world.

Ferraro praised William Karlsson's PK, but he actually made two huge mistakes on this long PK. The first was his 2-on-1 where he selfishly shot instead of passing for a sure goal that would have taken a lot of air out of the Sharks. Then he got lost allowing Labanc to walk in for the 4th goal.

Being at the Tank for this was the Like being in a dream, You couldn’t fathom what was happening when the Sharks scored 4 times in 4 minutes, You knew it was good, but you couldn’t process it that fast.
