The problem with the TRD Pros are dealers are adding 5-6 thousand to the MSRP. Used ones a couple years old are selling for original MSRP.

I do have to say for the cost of this vehicle Toyota is a little moronic... I do agree they are pretty reliable and yeah they "hold their resale value" if you ever do plan on selling it.. But i mean in Canada a brand new TRD OFF ROAD not a PRO is roughly $60,000 after taxes.. meanwhile a full-sized 2019 F150 3.5L v6 or 5.0L v8 both are roughly similar price.. that offer double the room, double the hp/torque, double the payload, way more features and better MPG, all without the need of having to pay additional costs to have the differentials regeared to handle weight and bigger tires.. for a mid-sized truck I feel as though Toyota could really fix the MPG and set an option when purchasing for better gears.

Just get the off road package, TRD Pro totally overpriced, an extra 8k-10k for just “beefier” suspensión it’s crazy! I love Toyota will and always will be Toyota FTW, but this PRO is overpriced, I have a 2017 TRD Off Road 4x4 long bed and I paid 38k for it and I’ve never been happier. 10k more for a suspension upgrade is a little too much Toyota.

Good to see you back! Toyota can never hold a candle to a JK Rubicon...such as my Recon Edition. Lots of bad things about my JK for daily driving and doing work...missing a bed...but the Tacoma will never match it. Cool video.

@@swingbag12 Good point. Jeep people love Jeeps, Toyota people love Toyotas, etc. The bad thing about the Tacoma still being so sought after is that they don't improve it or update it. I have a 80 series Land Cruiser and think it's the best rig there is for a host of reasons but its 1997 tech. Given that there is a lot of competition for the Tacoma and they are losing market share (albeit maybe still minimal) I think they will have to finally update.
