mchughcb that’s a nice triple barrel you have there and yes the 3.5s would kick to much for your gun, maybe try some AAA shot in the average cartridge but I’m not sure how much shot will fit in them as the AAAs are quite big as you know... Also Gamebore black golds size 4 shot ain’t to bad on the foxes and are very quick and don’t need much lead in front of them as so fast but take some practice as sometimes can give to much lead with them... @mchughcb4 жыл бұрын
Unless you get a special licence it is not possible for the average hunter to get a pump or semi auto shotgun. Even this shotgun I had to import myself from Arizona because the importer refused to bring it in because it was 20G. In some situations a 12G semi auto with 5+1 would be a better choice for foxes. With most of this style of hunting three shots is enough and it more about handling. So almost the handling of a double but with three shots.

Id depends on what part of the video. The gun fires in certain sequence, right, left, top. If you put one round in top will fire first two hammers until it gets to that barrel. So you will hear click, click boom. This may occur when I want to use top barrel which is full choke so I load that first. Other times I have unloaded the gun for safety to get through fence went to fire and forgot I have unloaded it.

Credit for leaving the misses in and plenty of action in this video. I hate to be that guy, but whatever shells your using on the foxes defo don't carry sufficient stopping power. 20G's are fun and handle nicely etc, but for foxing you need a heavier load and if that isn't practical in your 20G then you should really be sticking to 12G and some BB's or even a heavy 3 which would be much more humane than whatever your shooting. Please take this as advice not criticism, as a fellow youtuber I hate to even write a slighlty negative review but it needs said. As hunters we must be very careful also in relation to the footage we put into the public domain, some of your foxes are clearly being hit but the shell isn't adequate to put the fox down on the spot as it should be. That isn't going to enhance the publics image of shooting/vermin control.
@mchughcb3 жыл бұрын
Normally I don't respond to other people on the interwebs purporting to be english hunters, so please don't take this advice as criticism. The definition of stopping power and my calibres range up to 416 Remington Magnum for deer is not the same as shotgun hunting. The shotgun can overwhelm the CNS and the animal shuts down with shock or the animal is has the vital organs penetrated and it dies. There are many hunters on pegs you can't see and the hounds are scent trailing and catch up to them. Almost every single fox that doesn't die instantly is very quickly dispatched. With regards to heavy loads and put down power I have shot hundred in 20G and 12G and there isn't much difference to 55 yards, and I have videos on the pattern testing. The heavy loads up to 57grams of BBs do not make good recovery shots or good video because of the recoil. Have a think how many lost pheasants the on an english game shoot and yet you only see the high birds David Carrie shooting. How many of them are missed or winged only to fall down and have the dogs chasing the runners? However, feel free to put up as many fox hunting videos as you like and I have subscribed.

Красивая охота, но зачем по коровам стрелять? 1:10 ?

Корова в порядке. Угол камеры отличается от реальной жизни.

Ружьё у него отменное, я смотрю он и мазал не плохо! Так что коровы остались целы))👍

Where do these wholes in my car may come from? Dunno... must've been kinda hard rain.... and your dogs are really crap retrievers! Interesting video anyways!
@mchughcb3 жыл бұрын
There are no holes in the cars as the shot is too small and the range is too far. The dogs are hounds not retrievers except for one GWP.

I‘ve seen your breed retrieve like mad. The breed is well capable of retrieving. It’s a matter of the man to train it properly.

@@F74D3N8r0T Dachshunds struggle to retrieve a fox because if their height. These are trained for blood tracking shot deer. They do that ok.

It’s all right mate. Would be a pain in the rear for me to fetch my pray myself. Plus I know wieners retrieving ducks and Fox with pleasure. Good shooting btw. Take care
