nice one! i love transporters but man theyre expensive even second hand. great vid bro
@TheAutoDad5 жыл бұрын
Expensive but a worthy return. Less depreciation than other vans in the segment, and a charm which only a Transporter can give. :)

Loved this mate, really well put together. I'm of the same mindset that a Transporter is a bit overpriced, however didn't realise the second have values were better. Lovely looking thing though

Thanks so much! Worth the money if it’s what you’re in to..

My only concerns are the ridiculous location of the hazard warning light and also driving on a windy coastline where I live! Mine will be a specialised conversion known as the VW Nevada.

I'm in southern italy, and have a 2008 t5 lwb. Manual gearbox, 150 (roughly bhp). Done a few comfort mods eg carpet lining, better door speakers ect but have more to do. Driving wise, the italians are insane on the roads, speed limits are a goal not a limit and being rhd in a lhd country, the height is ideal for overtaking ect. To be honest, i drive my t5 really hard, it's fairly quick, corners really well for a van, and on one particular long windy road hellish fun to hoon a little. Looking at an swb dsg at some point, as i don't really need all the extra room, and with 4motion, 20mm lowering springs, 275/45r19 tires, and a good tune it should be real fun to drive (my friend has one with those exact specs and it's surpisingly quick and agile).

Fantastic video you made, can I ask is there any different in terms of fuel economy Between manual and dog version, also different between t30 and t32 many thanks.
@TheAutoDad5 жыл бұрын
Manual will always be a bit better, however I've not noticed a huge different in the versions I've drive - maybe 5-7mph difference! Probably similar between T30 and T32 as it's likely the same engine and map.

i do love a transporter, is this better than a vito?
@TheAutoDad5 жыл бұрын
Depends what you’re looking for really, and totally different price brackets.

Come on, this is a pretty average review. good first time ever car review though Tom. Cameras dying, improve the bad camera angles (was getting dizzy seeing the front right wheel angle while driving. And you need to show the space in the van by loading it up or lying in it or something! Not put a guitar on a stand with one speaker, lol
@TheAutoDad5 жыл бұрын
Camera are now dying less, but everything else should be much better. Showing off van sizes is difficult without ripping my studio apart, however I have a new ‘load test’ coming for commercials! :)
